1. If the listing ONLY has stock photos, ask the seller to post more pics OR don’t buy! 2. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is! 3. Look on the internet for AUTHENTIC MK jewelry & compare listing pics! MK is highly polished, well made. 4. Comments like, “it was a gift”, or “the earrings don’t come with backs” - AVOID! 5. Yellow MK lettering - FAKE 5. If you believe it’s FAKE, report the listing. It’s the only way we protect the integrity of Poshmark and it’s honest sellers!

mkandmore There are sellers on here that is all they sell is fakes. Poshmark does nothing.

lolly_posh @mkandmore - thanks for your comment. I recently bought MK earrings. Nice photos of the real deal in the listing, but I received what’s pictured in this post instead. NOT EVEN CLOSE to being real, yet this seller still has them listed for the next sucker. Some sellers even have the fake ones pictured, stating they’re authentic. I hope no one falls for it, like I did. I am still waiting for my refund! Thanks for your comment!

mkandmore @lolly_posh Surk so why doesn’ Posh take these down? I have reported so many times to no avail. Why do they ask our opinion on whether there are fakes being sold? These people are getting twenty per cent commission so why not employ a professional that knows what is going on? I own hundreds of pieces of Kors,Betsey Johnson and other jewelry and I buy them from a reputable source. I can spot a fake a mile away. I see no reason to even bother reporting anymore t

lolly_posh @mkandmore that sucks. Ultimately, the big loser is the buyer that isn’t even aware they’re being duped! Makes me not want to buy here anymore, but there are so many honest and reputable sellers. Everyone just needs to be really, really careful whom they do business with.

mkandmore @lolly_posh So if someone makes a return and asks for a refund because it is fake why doesn’t Posh shut the seller down? If they take a commission they are responsible to make their site safe?
Aug 02Reply
lolly_posh
lolly_posh @mkandmore I agree. I sent Poshmark an email asking that very same question three days ago. I have yet to hear back from them.

mkandmore @lolly_posh You will NEVER and I mean NEVER get a direct answer from them. Always canned responses dodging the answer. They act like they care but I guarantee you will never get a straight answer. It is all about the dollar for them. Buyer Beware is their motto. Lots of sellers here only sell fakes.

mkandmore Did you ever get a response from a Posh?

lolly_posh @mkandmore absolutely... NOT!!!

mkandmore @lolly_posh I keep reporting fakes but I cannot understand why they keep asking us to help keep Poshmark safe! It is a waste of time and they give the message they do not know the difference between real and fake!

lolly_posh @mkandmore I agree. 1) Why ask my opinion and then do nothing about it; & 2) don’t they have professionals on staff that monitor this stuff? It’s frustrating!

mkandmore I have asked them sooo many times but they will Never give a straight answer. Did you get a refund? If I to any of the Poshfests they would not be glad I came.

lolly_posh @mkandmore thankfully, I did. But the seller is still selling the earrings.

mkandmore No direct answers again. They are working very hard to remove listings that do not meet their guidelines! Same old response nothing that will answer any question with honesty. Just BS again. I have been wasting my time for a long time. Luckily I have had a few returns but most have been things that were damaged and had no disclosure but got relisted the same way. Oh well!

mariaskc1 @lolly_posh I got a bracelet from Tj max & found the same one on eBay, it was $5 more expensive, ones for me and ones a gift, seller has a positive reviews, USA seller, good communication, provided pics, said she bought it from a MK outlet, seemed legit. The eBay bracelet is a little bit deeper rosegold, it heavier, the letters are a lil thicker&bolder, the Michael kors on the clasp seems off they’re both beautiful but the tj max one seems more refined, idk who sold me the fake, could u help?

lolly_posh @mariaskc1 definitely go with your instincts. Just because you paid more doesn’t mean it’s real. Which is heavier? Which looks more polished? If you have an MK store out MK outlet in your area, you can certainly show them the bracelets and ask.

lolly_posh @mariaskc1 and... just because someone has a good rating of nice “love notes” on the walls, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are saints. Bad notes aren’t published on PoshMark for some reason and I have seen people leave positive feedback for a seller when I cringe at the fact that they were totally scammed and just don’t know the difference.

mariaskc1
mariaskc1 @lolly_posh ur right, it’s just so difficult cause they’re both beautiful. The eBay bracelet (supposedly purchased at an mk outlet by seller) is heavier, deeper rosegold and the letters seemed engraved, on the clasp tho it says Michael is thin letters with spices between then snd then kors all together, 0 spaces. The tj max one is lighter in weight and color and the Michael kors doesn’t have that engraved look, the letters are not as bold

mariaskc1
mariaskc1 @lolly_posh the Michel kors tag on the tj max one has a barcode, some numbers, “made in China” and a price of $85, the eBay bracelet has the Michael Kors tag but with nothing on the back, if you turn it around it’s all white

angelaherriman
angelaherriman Hi, wondering if it is okay in your opinion if I see a pair of fake MK earrings, or a bag or wallet, to post it in the comments with my reasons for knowing it’s a fake. What do you think?
Feb 13Reply
lolly_posh
lolly_posh @angelaherriman I would strongly caution to be 100% sure of your assertion before posting as it would be inappropriate to single out a seller based on your opinion rather than facts. If you are certain the item is a fake, you also have the ability to report the listing to Poshmark. This allows them to launch an investigation of the item. Thanks for asking.

salamk81 I came across your listing when I was searching Google to know if an E ba. seller is sellling fake or real MK j. to be honest, i am totally ok with buying fake, but the problem is that they are selling them for around 40$ which is way too high for a fake lol.. but their photos are super clear and neat, i was really tempted

kyralynn06 @lolly_posh hey there! Love this post, so helpful! I was wondering if you knew if any of the MK jewelry will come stamped with upper & lower case letters or should they always be stamped uppercase like typical MK?
