no bother at all , you can wear then either way, i have a pair that i use almost daily , they dont make my feet sweat when i wear them without socks and i have never gotten a blister from them, with jeans i wear socks,,, with a short dress like the rainbow dress in my closet or shorts i wear them without socks,,, hope that helps ,,, and it is never a bother always feel free to ask me anything and i will try and help
