mhay1288 @bklynposhnfold Hi! The style is supposed to be a looser fit. I’m typically a medium in Madewell and the XS is definitely too small for me. I may be able to get away with the small. According to Madewell’s reviews for this top, it seems that most say true to size. Hope that helps! Let me know if you’d like any additional measurements or if you have any other questions! 🙂

mhay1288 @bklynposhnfold also the arm pit falls lower than the average shirt I believe (arm pit about 11” below the top of the shoulder measured on the XS) because of the butterfly sleeve style so maybe that’s why it also seems bigger!

bklynposhnfold Ah got it! Thank you. I’ll have to go back and measure again. I have the Madewell mockneck velvet tee in large and it’s WAY too loose — 21.5 across so I was using that as a basis in thinking a S might be more appropriate... I am more of an athletic hourglass (5’9” and 155) and range from size XS to M/L, so having a tough time figuring this!

mhay1288 @bklynposhnfold I’m also 5’9” and sounds like similar shape actually..lol. Medium definitely roomy and small is also workable so I guess depends on the kind of fit you want! The small is slightly shorter than the medium, so length wise I do like the medium because I have a long torso..tough decision!
