A modern variation of the classic pearl earring. Featuring an elongated Biwa pearl on elegantly curved, and hammered, gold-filled ear wires. These are hand made by a local artisan here in Austin, Texas. They measure 2 1/2” in length.
🔸The term “Gold-fill” is an actual layer of gold, pressure bonded to another metal. It has 50 to 1000 times more gold than plated jewelry. It is more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off, or turn colors. 🔶

I love these earrings but have already bought them before. Trying to guy again because the metal was flimsy and broke so now need either one or I guess the whole set but for sure not willing to spend 35 plus taxes and shipping which ends ups up being 50, for earrings that will most likely break again. Kinda Claire’s type quality, if they were cheaper in price I would

@ckwahine Hi Christi, This particular style is made in .925 sterling silver as seen in photos #7 and #8. The gold version is made with gold-filled wire.
The other artisan-made silver jewelry in my closet are also made with .925 sterling silver wire and are made by CRL Atelier. But some listings, like from Anthropologie for example, are not sterling silver. THank you for your interest :)

@rfent724🌻 Hi Roberta, They are made with a 20 gauge wire. It is an appropriate weight for the design and to still be able to thread through the ear’s holes. The forming and hammering to create the shape and texture also work hardens the wire, making it more rigid. Thanks for your interest.🌻😊
