This bracelet is large so it works great for unisex. 990 pure Silver overlay (higher silver content then 925 Sterling silver). Nice heavy quality piece! Lotus etched and Asian blessings on the inside also. In the last couple pictures you can see two options. Silver etched and silver with accented etched design. You choose!

Have your friend look up the meaning of the lotus flower, because I think a lot of them probably relate to that. Hope that’s a little bit helpful. debbyjones717 I’m sorry to ask but I don’t understand. Is the bracelet sterling plated or silver throughout I understand 990 silver is more than 925. But 925 is through the depth of the metal. If cut in 1/2 it’s 925 through the metal, Is the lotus 990 silver like that ?

gemtribe @debbyjones717 Hi, instead of sterling silver plated, it is 990 silver plated. Not a significant difference. But a more pure silver on your skin and a little bit brighter in the middle tone. Let me know if that answers your question, Nancy

gemtribe @dabi1531 Hi, options are etched. But if you look at the first picture you can see the difference between silver etched and silver etched with dark accenting. The dark accenting was tarnished and then re-polished so the design stands out more. The other is more subtle.

gemtribe @cindy92106 Hi Cindy, to be honest, I wasn’t really understanding the difference. Oh my years in the industry, I only worked with solid sterling and natural gemstones. I have sold 56 of these over the past four years, and everyone has been very happy. So I assume that it is a thicker than plated silver.
