tiffaneyivy is the 18in measurement for the 1x waist a straight across measure? haven't ever bought anything like this with these measurements.

rockinvintage @tiffaneyivy yes flat lay means straight across when layed flat, so to compare you can last flat a dress that fits you well with a similar high waist style and compare, or you can take a measurement of your body and half that measurement to compare (but be sure to plan for a bit of breathing room and such)

rockinvintage @tiffaneyivy I would guess that you would want to look for a 2x in most pinup dresses (pinup brands tend to run a bit on the smaller side of their size range). a dress in a stretchy fabric may be workable in 1x. and note that bust for dress should be measured around the widest part, not underbust, for dress measurements
