@smokeyboston Hi! So, size 6 normally would be an EU 36. Docs size 6 translate to a EU size 37, which would be a 6.5, and because they tend to run big, that would probably be the best size for you. However, I do expect to be getting some 7s in this week, so if you’d feel better sizing up, I can tag u. Or I can measure the boot if you have anything similar to compare to...😊💕

@meggbw I feel they do, however I did have one customer who thought they ran a little small, so I did an exchange for her. But that was a size 6. If you’re familiar with your EU size, I would use that. I will be getting more sizes in shortly. I feel they are quite TTS, and even are comfortable on wider feet... don’t know if that helps! 😄😊💗

@retro_world711 Smooth has a little stiffer finish, less porous, and takes a little longer to break in. Nappa is much easier to break in and looks worn in faster with wrinkles and such. :)

That definitely makes sense as I recently purchased a pair for myself, and I hadn’t owned a pair of docs since I was a teenager, and these definitely were more comfortable right off the bat. I remember the original ones, which must have been the Smooth, required a break-in period, in which I wore band-aids. They became very comfy, but these were much easier!😊

@meggbw Do you have wide feet or pretty standard? I would probably go with the 8, since they don’t make half sizes. But if you want to be positive, I’d suggest either finding somewhere you can try them on- maybe Nordstrom’s or DSW? Or I could measure them if you have a similar type shoe to compare to.😊

@jackiesharif That’s a tough one... do you happen to have any other boots that fit well we could compare them to? If is there a chance you could try any on at a local store? If probably go 8, but since you’ve got narrow feet, the 7 may be fine for you. There isn’t a huge difference when you measure the two- less than 1/2 an inch...that’s tough!!!😆

@jenn_heller Hi😊! I definitely will have 8s back in- I’m expecting a shipment with several assorted Docs hopefully tomorrow. Regarding the sizing issue, they do definitely run large. I normally would say to downsize 1/2 a size, unless possibly you have wide feet. I do have wide feet and tend to wear 9.5 in most brands, but find a 9 totally comfortable in Docs.

@bethaungst I do think this would be too small. I would go with an EU 38 or even a 39.... I don’t feel these are really sized too big, as they were in years past. So I’m a size 6 normally but I’ve seen comments that they run big and other comments that they seem to be tight. I’m skinny and I wouldn’t want to get the wrong size, what would you recommend?

@fanny07 Hi! Happy new year! I would suggest to stay with size 6. These are a woman’s medium width version; if u were a half size, then I’d size down as opposed to up. But the best way to check would be to find somewhere to try on a pair of 5s and 6s to be certain. But let me know if any measurements would help 😊💗

@bluem1726 Yes, they run a bit big, but if you are generally a size 9, I’d stick with that. These are women’s sizes. Dr. Martens usually only recommends sizing if you are between sizes. Also, if you plan to sometimes wear with thick socks, it’s good to have a bit of space. The doc website offers some great sizing info- including inches and cm’s per size. Hope that helps a little 🤞😉😊

@dgonzalez0318 Hi! Yes, they are TTS leaning towards a little big. The Dr.Marten site recommends sizing down in your situation. And the style, with laces, makes it much easier to adjust. However if you have wide feet, you may want to size up for comfort. I’ll get measurements for you tonight to compare to any similar shoes/boots you may have. 😊

@miaashley3 I also have a 9 in a different style that I’ve never sold before. Still working on getting the pics taken and a listing up. They are same combat style, but in “smooth” leather instead of Nappa, and are “Mono”, which means all black- even the little Doc “air wear” looped tab on back of boot is all black. I can tag u when I get those up, too.

@adela211 Hi! These are made in Vietnam, but do list both UK and EU sizing. They are not the unisex size, they are women’s sizing. Most people still size down if they are between sizes because of the lace-up style. But the women’s sizes are more TTS than unisex sizing, which can be pretty oversized… hope that helps some 😆💗!

@adela211 And I forgot to mention, if you want ones made in England, look for that or MIE in description. They are now considered a special collection of Docs and tend to run a lot pricier. Certain styles are not available in that collection or are only available in a specific material. This softer Nappa leather is not available from England, but is a genuine Dr. Martens product. I only sell genuine items 💗😊

@adela211 I’d check what size she seems to wear in boots. If she is mainly a 7.5, most people can size down bc of the lacing and Nappa leather can stretch- it’s not a really hard leather like the Smooth that requires a lot of breaking in. But if she’s 7.5 to 8, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with 8. These fit pretty true to size and it’ll allow her to wear winter socks. This is my suggestion- if any measurements, etc., will help, let me know! 😊

The Doc website recommends downsizing for half sizes in this style, unless you have wide feet, in which case you may want to go up. These are women’s size, so they won’t be oversized like some Docs can be when purchased in unisex. Best option, to find somewhere to try on this style. But majority of people will do well sizing down to 7. 💗

@angelmama05 Hi! Right now I have a unisex size 9. If you have narrow feet, or sometimes need an 8.5 in some shoes, I would hold out for a womens 9. I can message you when I get them back in. But if you feel that 9s are sometimes a little tight, you have wider feet or want to wear thick socks, you should be fine with unisex. The difference between the woman’s and unisex is very small.

@angelmama05 I think you’ll be better off with a woman’s 9,,based on your description. These may fit fine, but I’d hate them to be too big and rub. These fit me perfectly, but I wear a 9, sometimes 9.5, and am on the wider side. I will definitely pick up a regular 9 and message you when it arrives.
