There is a serious scam going on right now with shady sellers! Please be aware of your purchases! Sellers are able to hack the tracking and will show package delivered and it was never a package sent. Just the tracking number that Poshmark sends to them to mail the package. They take the number and hack the system to make it start tracking. The package is never delivered but shows delivered and after 3 days they get paid! Horrible I have found these 6 accounts that are currently doing this!!!

pma11511 yes!!! be careful, happened to me. but the address they sent it to was vacant so it never got delievered. I was able to get a refund and posh cancelled the order.

pma11511 my post office had the package when I spoke to them and sent me pictures. it appears they modified the shipping label after it was printed. so the substituted a different mailing address for mine. which was a house listed for rent that was new construction.

pma11511 they removed all references to poshmark and the order on the label. but the tracking number post office routes are left the same. when the post office tracking number still shows the orginal shipping address.

pma11511 my post office thinks they modified the label, copied/ pasted the shipping address. the route number on the label still corresponded to my address, not the one on the label.

pma11511 they said the box felt completely empty except for a small item or two they heard moving around in it when shaken. clearly not the watch I ordered.

pma11511 the return address was an apartment listed for rent as well. I wonder if the person is using a bogus return address too in case they get caught. my order was the end of October. then I saw a flooding of listings afterwards. they probably kept trying since mine didnt work for them.

pma11511 @cleopatra99 They cant change it through poshmark or the post office. they are probably modifying the shipping address on their own. so it ships to the same town. people dont realize anything is wrong until they dont see the package, they think an error on the post office, but in reality it was delivered to the address on the label, but it doesnt correlate correctly to the information in the poshmark order or tracking number in the system.

pma11511 @cleopatra99 yes, but I think they might put the package farther away so it's harder for you to find. the house they sent mine to was the same zip, but in a different township, they obviously dont know since they dont live here. we are in a more rural area and the town for your mailing address is not necessarily the town you live in. it was 15 minutes away from where I live. I was lucky since it got returned to sender because it was a vacant address.

pma11511 @cleopatra99 Absolutely terrible what these people/person is doing! never heard of anything like it happening before. hopefully poshmark finds them. my post office was very upset this happened to, they reported it to the postal inspector to investigate it on their end.

pma11511 @cleopatra99 a few days, just be patient they will respond. I think they are busy lately. i hear if you keep messaging them it bumps you further down the line. i think it took 2 or three days. it seemed like forever since i was upset about it. but they were great, immediately refunded me and canceled the order.

linzee318 @cleopatra99 i sent poshmark photos of my postmaster (who DROVE to the construction site they sent it to!) opening the package with the trash in it, as well as a photo of the altered label. Poshmark hasnt gotten back to me I’m getting worried. Thanks for posting i hope our stories at least stop this from happening again.

cleopatra99 @linzee318 I'm annoyed as well! This was going to be a gift for my mother who just finished her chemotherapy. I hate that Poshmark doesn't flag these listings as soon as they go up. Looking back on everything I know now and this was soooooo obvious it was a scam! I'm so aggravated! Thank you for sharing your story! Now, I know what happened exactly. I was just guessing they had hacked into the postal tracking system. But to create a whole other label?? I would have never guessed that!

pma11511 @cleopatra99 I noticed it was deleted when the replied to my email. not sure if it was before I didn't check on it too frequently. they messaged me telling me they canceled the purchase and issued the refund. hopefully you'll hear back from them soon! I remember how anxious I was awaiting their reply but they were really good about it.

I wonder if they received their funds and then closed their fake account. If I don't get a refund I'm going to start a class action lawsuit against PM for not protecting us buyers. I'm so upset.

anythgsposhible @cleopatra99 All these accounts are closed now which tells me that Poshmark paid all of them. So sad!!! I told them this is fraud but all they said is that it’s a system error with USPS! Oh well I tried to warn them and told them not to pay the shipper. Still waiting for a reply back about my refund. If I don’t get any satisfaction, I will follow through with 🅿️🅿️, that’s how I paid.

cleopatra99 @anythgsposhible yes, they finally got back to me an hour ago and they are canceling the order, I do think that they paid them though. What a shame! These criminals need to be caught. I did litigate it with my credit card company. They have a zero tolerance for fraud. I will follow up with my bank once my money is returned. PM said it could take up to 10-14 days to see my refund. I wish you luck dear. I know how nerve wrecking this is!

anythgsposhible @cleopatra99 There are two more sold. OMG! This is so bad! Poshmark needs to get a handle on this a.s.a.p. It’s obvious to us but they are not taking it seriously. Same thing, just opened the account with a picture of a women and one watch. Always around the same price too! Between $300 and $400! I don’t even know if I should waste my time contacting Poshmark. They are not doing anything to fix it or listen!

At the end of the day we the criminal and Poshmark still gets paid, because they file a claim with the postmasters. The innocent buyer is inconvenienced and tax payers are footing the bill.

pchhoum yes it happened to me too. the tracking said tracked but it delivered to someone else . I contacted my americna express right away and statement from post office. luckily I wa son too of it and my card company didnt pay out. I also reached out to poshmark amd they were radio silent

After a few months n numerous emails to PM, I got my money back, however, seller also got paid.USPS send me a resolution letter of their investigation n pictures of the box. Label scanned to my city, but they blocked my address with another label with address back to sender. They do this so u can actually track the package.

cleopatra99 @montereybay the email scam tries to send you a bogus check to cash. It will be for more money than your item costs. They will tell you to send the extra cash back to them. In the meantime the check will bounce around for a month before your bank realizes if bogus. The bank will then charge you bounced check fees and you will be responsible for paying that money back. So much time would have passed that u can't dispute anything.
