@gothicbutterfly Yes, it was complete therapy to paint it and organize it, and that's just 2 angles. My hubby also built me a "packing station" out of old pallet wood.

@poptrash1985 Thanks! It certainly keeps everything neat, organized, clean, and easy to grab for shipping. My Hubby also made me a packing station out of old pallet wood and put it on casters. It's sanded and stained, and I mod-podged the top with wallpaper for a glossy smooth surface- you can't see it in the photos, it's under the cow painting.

Yes- I turned our guest bedroom into a photo studio and re-made the closet into a mini walk-in for specific items that I want to keep hanging in garment bags, as well as large cubicles up the entire wall in there to store bags. Basically the closet is divided into cubicles and hanging space- up to 9 feet. And, I have a really pretty wood step ladder in there as well to get to the top shelves.

@amandajsherm Oh, and we also added led strip lighting in that closet- I kinda took the inspiration from how department stores and stores like Coach/KS/MK display their items. It's well lite and I can get to everything easily.

@littlegypsie ah that is such a great idea on the cubicles and the lighting. Thank you! Can I ask if you like your ladder? I use a step stool but it’s not high enough and I have a fancy ladder I bought from a museum store lol because it was artsy and pretty but it’s SO thick and heavy so not practical. No worries if you can’t share but would love ideas!

@amandajsherm Yes- I love my ladder! Yours sounds awesome, but yeah- it wouldn't be practical. Although you could possibly use it to display some items and be "shelves" at the same time- you would need to have some boards cut for it. My Ladder is a basic ladder from Lowes, All I did was paint it- but it's so practical because it's easy to move, I never fold it up.

@blushngloss Hi, the ones on the wall are made from steel pipes- I purchased them on Amazon- They are durable, come in different sizes, and I love the look of them. Make sure they are screwed into wall studs. The metal rolling racks came from Amazon too, I'm going to replace them with rolling racks made from Steel pipes as well that have a wooden base.

My husband helped me customize my room too. I have 3 layers of shelving built on one wall. They hold shoes, purses, hats etc
He also built a big hanging rack for me too. He was my motivator and the light of my life. He passed away in Nov. I am devastated....everytime I touch my shelves and racks I think of his hands touching them and all the love we shared.

very well done, especially the hangers, just like us in barracks inspections. You would make a fine NCO, keep up the great work, a clutter free A.O. is a safe area of operations. Everything in my war room is boxed, labeled and neatly stored, I make shelves, found that painted wood keeps the humidity down in boxes,people throw furniture away. I get em,restore em burning knots into the wood, sanding then staining.

@littlegypsie you're very welcome, dad taught me woodworking fmr.master carpenter then retired union plumber. it's an art,I was given an old gun cabinet, took me 3 wks to refurbish, I sanded,stripped, sanded, burning spots into the wood sanding again. put a light oak stain polished the brass hardware painted the inside drawers a white satin then put it on castor wheels,makes it easier to move

@trina_mills aww, thanks- I love my store. I've always loved to organize pretty things! I actually made a video, but never uploaded it because I need my hubby to help me with editing- I'm not great at talking on camera- I have way to many "umms" that need editing out...so eventually it will be up.

Don’t worry about being so polished when you talk... the um moments are okay 😀 don’t think about the camera, think about this... you’re just talking to a friend or family member. Have a friend behind the camera and just talk to her and forget that you’re being filmed!

@jcpdesertsales Hi, thank you so much for noticing! It varies on any day as to what I'm listening to. Sometimes it's podcasts. I love old TV, so often I'll put on Pluto and listen to 80's/90's TV. I can't do music and work- songs end up getting stuck in my head- lol Thanks again, I love my work space :)

@amandajsherm I know your comment is from a while ago, and I don’t know if you worked out your step stool/ladder stuff, but my husband got me an aluminum ladder that is just under 3 feet and with it I can reach anything in any room and it is very light weight. I can’t carry a lot either. (I guess it is a commercial type two step stool, but it looks like a ladder) he got it at like Lowes or Home Depot.
