jyazdan148 🤔 I am expecting a delivery from a Dian Amy Lovee, 2057475625. With this profile pic. I’m now expecting crap. I thought PM verifies accounts, and monitors activity . Very disappointing!

dslusher42
dslusher42 @jramdin no they don’t if they pay through Apple Pay which they offer once the transaction occurs and money is exchanged if it is a scam Apple does not offer refunds

jramdin @dslusher42 thank you for the insight! So basically as long as you go through Poshmark you should be ok?
Jan 04Reply
dslusher42
dslusher42 @jramdin no and there is no way to contact them either they don’t have a direct customer service

catmlrse @jyazdan148 @jyazdan148 No, Posh doesn’t verify at all. I bought a LV bag and the seller changed my address on the label (but kept tracking number the same) and sent an empty envelope to an address around the corner. Tracking said it was DELIVERED. I had to contact USPS to prove that the scammer sent fake package to wrong address - they hoped the money would be released before anyone knew any better.
Jan 04Reply
catmlrse
catmlrse @jyazdan148 Did you buy on Posh or sent money direct? Pls let me know if you get anything. If you see a DELIVERED status but no package, you’ll know it was the same mail scam as mine.
Jan 04Reply
jramdin
jramdin @dslusher42 wow! 😬 guess I’ll save a little more and just buy retail. What a bummer.
Jan 04Reply
catmlrse
catmlrse @jramdin Not necessarily. My package said DELIVERED. If I hadn’t opened a case immediately and gotten the screenshots from USPS showing the wrong address, I prob would’ve lost my money.

catmlrse @dslusher42 Ugh oh no!! Contact your bank or whatever and report the fraud right away.

mizzaston
mizzaston @dslusher42 hun if the account is just made there is one posting of a high end item and they ask you to pay via paypallll or apple or zelleee or cash-appppp etc its a scam. immediately call your bank and let them know your account was compromised. hopefully they will refund your money once the investigation is completed. sorry for what happened to you.
Jan 05Reply
jramdin

jyazdan148 @catmlrse so annoying! Thankfully my payment didn’t go through because I’m a dinosaur and didn’t have the account set up. I’m pushing for an address to mail a check instead. I posted his/her number above. Hope that helps others😡

catmlrse
catmlrse @jyazdan148 I think numbers and addresses get removed by Posh. There’s a way to report the number to FBI cyber crimes unit though. I’ve done this with my scammer seller.
Jan 05Reply

jyazdan148 @catmlrse thanks I’ll gather what I can and report it!

mizzaston @dslusher42 yes that sucks. it sad how people scam others whom work hard for their money. they want it the easy way. just today i was going to buy an iphone off of another site (merc) and i asked if it was negotiable they said leave your contact number so we can take it from there. i said to them that im only looking to make transactions on here. they said too bad and blocked me.. lol scammer figured id pay offsite but i didnt fall for it
Jan 05Reply
mizzaston
mizzaston @jyazdan148 pm needs to do more monitoring when it comes to these fake accounts. many people and clueless to these scammers especially ones whom are new to the site. they are quick to flag and remove something from your page if it’s reported as unauthentic but the scammers get to open pages left and right and modify shipping addresses etc
Jan 05Reply
mizzaston
mizzaston ALSO LADIES BE CAREFUL WHEN PEOPLE ASK YOU TO TRADE... NOT EVERYONE IS HONEST AND WILL SEND YOU WHAT THEY PROMISED TO SEND AS THE TRADE....
Jan 05Reply
jyazdan148
jyazdan148 @mizzaston exactly!!!!! I had authentic items but they weren’t allowed, so they flagged me quickly wth😡😡😡

scralice
scralice @catmlrse omg I never even thought of that scenario, people are getting creative I’m sorry to hear no one deserves to be scam
Jan 05Reply
catmlrse
catmlrse @scralice I know right? Luckily I had coincidentally read about the mail scam just a few days before the same thing happened to me so I kind of knew what happened. Most people would just wait to see if their package turned up and in the meantime the funds get released and game Over.
Jan 05Reply
scralice
scralice @catmlrse thank you for the heads up. I try to read these scam postings because I do buy luxury items and I am also paranoid. Reading each posting is different so scammers are coming out with new ideas all the time. That’s scary.
Jan 05Reply
niyahb14
niyahb14 @scralice so sad that’s why I don’t go off the site or call a number they be posted. I’m trying not to be scammed. It makes you just save a little longer and order off the actual website then you know what you paying for and will receive it. Because these prices on here be ridiculous.

lpngrad08
lpngrad08 I was scammed by maryyhuer. Whoever this person is had the audacity to post the LV bag was sold & it is still listed on PM. I saved my Xmas $ & added to it to purchase this bag. I even told the seller this but unfortunately some ppl don’t have a heart. They even turned off the comments.
Jan 05Reply
catmlrse
catmlrse @iandm1970 Don’t buy from maryyhuer - she’s a scammer who just victimized people here.
Jan 05Reply
catmlrse
catmlrse @lpngrad08 These scumbags are so awful! I think scammers have many different accounts but at the end of the day it’s only a handful of them. Notify your bank and do whatever you can to get your money back!
Jan 05Reply
lpngrad08
lpngrad08 @catmlrse I am! I’ve contacted PM support & my bank. I haven’t heard anything back from my bank yet. I pray to GOD that this scamming ppl catches up with them in the worst way! I really want that bag & now it’s even further out of my reach 🤬🤬

yen_erni
yen_erni I was almost scammed by @linhhxx987 last Sunday (01/05). She offered lower pricing if I pay elsewhere (Zelle, Apple Pay) - got my number and started texting me, even sent a photo of ID to gain my trust. She proposed “pay half now and half when you receive the item” which was very tempting. I agreed with buy the item for half the price (550) on PM so it can still be checked for authenticity and send the other half through Zelle.
Jan 08Reply
yen_erni
yen_erni I put the offer which she accepted right away but I was so hesitant to send the money thinking I’ll be scammed. I messaged her asking if I can send the remaining half once the item is cleared by PM and is on its way to me, she was not having it. She pulled the guilt trip on me and she was getting angry because I won’t complete. Anyway, just beware everyone. If it’ll help this person is using this number (318 528 0490) to communicate and ask to send money to her “husband/Phil” (832 496 9558).
Jan 08Reply
yen_erni
yen_erni She might be Phil and possibly using a stolen card or something. The code for the LV Neverfull MM she was selling is SD1177; don’t be fooled by the receipt and authenticity stuff she has, it might be real but she’s for sure fake. **not related to the scammer posted, just sharing my experience

sadiejacobs
sadiejacobs @jyazdan148 if you sent her money call your Bank immediately and say that you’ve been a victim of fraud and that you never authorized the payment and then they will put in an investigation and you’ll get your money back but always say that you never authorized the payment that’s literally the only way you’ll get your money back
Jan 12Reply
jyazdan148
jyazdan148 @sadiejacobs thank you for this advice! Luckily, I saw this warning in time and didn’t continue communications. I hope she is caught and has to reimburse everyone she has stolen $ from!
