Honestly I do not understand people buying out BACKPACKS just to sell them for $300+. Then state they’re sold out, when you can find them online or in store through partnered retailers. They say “collectible” “for any true fan” but clearly they aren’t true fans, trying to rip people off. If you have to spend money to get money, it’s a scam. There’s people trying to sell stuff double retail that isn’t even out. WAT. “I called every store” you didn’t call 120+ stores for ONE bag but go off.

syarbs1234 Right...I came to poshmark to try and find a backpack that would be slightly used but cheaper. But instead I'm finding new ones for almost double the price of it on the website. I tried offering a price on one, they counter offered with a price that's still MORE THAN IT IS CURRENTLY ON BOXLUNCH. I was like, really? Are you serious?

Especially the fact that some people are selling backpacks for over $100 more than they’re worth. messimakeup As a buyer I understand everyone is trying to get the beat price possible, that’s why you need to shop around. But as a seller myself, I gotta say that nothing is worthy more then what ppl are willing to spend if they didn’t then their wouldn’t be a market for it. But maybe y’all shouldn’t complain and just buy at the store not wait until it’s sold out to finally buy especially when Loungefly doesn’t really restock only some and not for long.

messimakeup But this happens with everything. Ppl resell Disney Dooney & Burke bags. Pokémon cards. Jeffree Star makeup. Etc are double or more the retail price. This isn’t a new concept. Plus no one is being forced to buy at any price. Instead of being a baby complaining or a price police, just move on buy elsewhere or not at all.

jordansawolf @messimakeup people actively going out to buy something out when it’s dropped just to whip around and sell it for twice the price are all bad. It doesn’t matter the item, loungefly or not. You say people do it with other products, but you are also that person. Not everyone has the money to just buy it when it comes out or while a store has it. So when they go back a week or two later to buy it it’s gone.

jordansawolf @messimakeup I’m fully aware some items are worth the price (to most). I’m not saying that’s bad. I’m referring to everyone who buys brand new stuff, who buys 3+ bags just to make money. It’s nothing but greed. Just yesterday I case someone selling a bag for $200 saying “it’s sold out not being produced” went on boxlunch and it was still in stock. Same with a bunch of other bags and items. Flipping is trashy no matter what you’re buying and selling. You’re scamming yourself and others.

jordansawolf @disneymom1419 I agree, there are some older designs with the price people are paying. But the majority of people are buying out bags and other items just to flip them online and tell us we waited too long, then misinform people about the item. It’s gross.

jordansawolf @cassie012205 it’s still online if you’re looking for it! I’ve noticed they’ll do that. You’ll call them o for stating facts like “hey, this isn’t sold out, or limited edition” and they’ll rip your head off and act like they’ve been shot, and then block you and repost the item.

buding888 @savapy thanks for making offers on the backpack but I would have actually only made like 3 dollars with the offer I sent you. I also must pay sales tax when purchasing and posh takes a pretty hefty fee. if it's cheaper on boxlunch then but it from them. I buy and resell to help pay my bills and keep student loans low because I don't have the time to work a regular job as a medical student.

jordansawolf @buding888 I understand selling stuff on here for extra cash, and looking at your closet things aren’t absolutely through the roof, but as a full time student myself I don’t understand how going out and buying items just to resell is at all efficient. If you buy sometime you’re spending approximately $80, selling it to make the $80, then go right back and buy another. I’m failing to see how it’s beneficial.

No but I wanted so I paid the price. Plus it’s not a sellers job to inform the buyer if items are still in store, that’s why buyers should shop around.

That’s not a business, it’s a scam, a rip off, and just GREEDY. I’m not poor. But I also can’t afford to just drop $70 on bag the second it comes out. I usually price things to get some of what I paid for, if I know I can get more out of it (eg if I spent retail, and people are actually paying more than retail for it). I won’t charge a insane price but if I know it’ll go for a price I’ll mark it that way. That I don’t see an issue with either
