nekoneko1 @123chloe these are Japanese tea ceremony plates made in one place in Kyoto, with limited places you could purchase. I own several of them. These plates have names and they are at tip of my tongue... will let you know if it comes out, so that you can add that keyword, and someone will buy it with doubled price. It's rare to find this number and in odd number (which is good). If you happen to have the boxes and stands that comes with it will sell even higher.

nekoneko1 The technique is generally classified as "Shippou-yaki", the arranged version of enamel, although I think this particular style deserves its own name beyond just the shippou. Original price is $143 for the set of five, if I got the artist and distributor right.

123chloe @nekoneko1 I don’t have the boxes and stands unfortunately! So are these plates that you put a cup on top when you drink tea?

nekoneko1 @123chloe I keep thinking what the name of the artist, but I lost my boxes too, just a distributor (their catalog: https://www.hinode-kougei.com/docs/sousaku11.pdf). In the catalog the artist's boss is mentioned but the boss's style of shippou is nothing like this mystery artist's

nekoneko1 And I think these plates are for snacks/seasonal decorations, served alongside of tea like these: https://www.yamada-heiando.jp/media/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/623_1-1.jpg https://img14.shop-pro.jp/PA01079/689/etc/product_img_namagashi.jpg
