so is the chest size literally arm pit to arm pit? or the whole circumstance? Someone said the chest size of a shirt is 36" for a medium. made me wonder if I have been measuring wrong. ty

@puglife21 the literal chest size would be armpit to armpit, then doubled for the entire circumference.
14” armpit to armpit = 28” chest, etc. The size may or may not correlate with the measurements!
Sizes are so all over the place that I always like to know measurements to see if it will fit. Some sizes are tiny, and I’ve had a few 20+” chest measurements that said they were Medium. Ok…..😂 Hope this helps!

hi. can I somehow copy off you and use this on my page?I use this guide to measure. however, someone went out of their way to advise how something is "usually" measured. Maybe so. But this chart is very useful and I want my prospective buyers to understand what they are reading. that way it's always consistent and helps eliminate misunderstanding!

@skeaton888 yes, I completely understand! I found this on a public use site, so you’re more than welcome to use it as well. I’ve had a few people measure oddly too, so hopefully this helps to get everyone on the same page. 😂 Hope this helps! 💕
