RIP My Sweet Angel.. Rex 💙🐾

12/11/24 it is with a heavy heart that I give the saddest update of my life. Rex crossed the rainbow bridge & is no longer with us. Hold your fur babies tight. He fought a good fight, & it is thanks to people like you, that we were able to give him the best life! He was a rescue, & loved to love on everyone he met!💙🐕 here’s to my Rex🐾 This post is usually up in my closet to introduce my favorite furry friend, but it’s time I share our most recent discovery. I came home from work one day to find Rex has a cough. We took him to the vet thinking he had kennel cough. After checking him out, the vet comes back with the news that Rex has an enlarged heart & fluid build up in his chest as a result of it. The cough he had was an attempt to expectorate the excess fluid. They thought it may be DCM (heart disease) but couldn’t confirm/deny, so they prescribed him a couple of medications & referred us to a cardiologist, & sent us home with a few pamphlets. We were devastated & heart broken.💔 we’ve since seen the cardiologist; they prescribed two more medications, & they feel he may be on medication for life. Hug your fur babies tight! One day they’re fine, & the next they’re on medication fighting for their life! He’s improved drastically, his cough is now non-existent but he is now on 4 types of medications 2 times a day😔 that being said, if there’s anything in my closet you like, please send me an offer. We will stop at nothing to give Rex the medical care he needs 🫶🏼 9/22/24
