I see sellers ALL THE TIME say that leggings are aligns when they’re not so this is a post meant to educate those buying aligns who need help. Look for these 3 things (the leggings you buy should pass all 3)!
1. Look at the gusset/crotch area (pic 2). Aligns do NOT have the triangular gusset. This is the best way to identify aligns. If the seller does not post this pic, ask for it before you buy!
2. Size dot pocket location (pic 3-4) for older Wunder unders
3. Seam shape in the back (pic 5)

One thing I’d like to add! Now that they make high rise wunder unders, the size dot for wunder unders will have the same pocket placement as aligns. The main differences I’d say as a past lulu employee are the double seams along the inseam with aligns and the straight across butt seam on wunder unders like u pointed out!

@jpowers323 It drives me crazy too! I comment on these wrong posts just because I want to help other buyers. Sometimes the seller honestly doesn’t know and they’ll adjust their listing after I tell them but other times they’ll just outright block me/delete my comment - even when I’m just being nice and trying to help them from misleading buyers. 😒😒 so many people DM me and say that they were misled by other sellers so I just decided to make this post to help others!

Thank you for this!!! When I'm hunting for Aligns, I don't want to see WU & visa versa. Even worse when you nicely point it out to the seller & they come back all huffy "Um I think I know my Lulu" Obviously you don't Karen!! And there a lot of people who buy thrift and truly have no idea. So this is great and much much needed.

@ngocnguyen1994 I like to comment that they’re WUs and hope that buyers see it. Sometimes sellers appreciate and will change the listing. Others will delete and re-list so the comment is gone.... karma.

@soccerstartatym I wouldn’t do it if u were you - the logo looks off to me. I think it’s supposed to emulate a Wunder Under but I can’t find any pink WU that matches this look. I can’t say it’s 100% fake with certainty but I don’t think you should do it based on that logo only. :/ be careful!!

@sundaylemons yes be careful! Some sellers really don’t know their lululemon so they’ll just claim any type of legging that looks like aligns (aka Wunder under). Good luck in your search!

@itsmree I’d be hesitant. Mainly because a lot of the older fakes don’t have the size dot. However, I do know that in some rare cases that the size dot can fall out as well as some of the older aligns (circa 2015-2016) don’t have it. But the newer colors within the last 3 years really should have the size dot.

I bought a pair of “wunder under” and the gusset is a triangle but the size dot pocket is like the align pocket. Does this mean they are just an older model of wunder under? Thanks!

for the size dot do they have to have the words around the outside to be real cause the pink one doesn't and I have seen some others on here without the words too?

@abby406 yes the older versions of lululemon around 2015-2016 just have the size number! Beware though that some fakes only have the size number too so you’ll have to look at the pants thoroughly to make sure it’s authentic!
