🛑 Do Not Buy ✋ For Your Information Only ❤️ If the heel is slanted inward on Rothy’s they have been incorrectly washed and dried. This will cause them to shrink and have a heel bubble. Look at pictures closely and ask the seller before purchase. 👠 As if the sizing wasn’t tricky enough you don’t want to think you need a different size when you actually just purchased a shrunk pair. 🙋🏼‍♀️

deedeesgrl70 The same thing happened to me! I bought an eight that had been washed and they fit more t Like a 7.5- wasn’t sellers fault she was great! Just a hint if that happens, take out the soles, not a great solution but works❤️❤️❤️

just46jen @leelee329 I bought on amazon a pink (lanney) shoe stretcher for $18.99. Poured boiling water over them then put in the stretchers. In the morning with stretchers still in I used my clothes steamer on the heels and expanded/stretched a little more. The next day I took them out. They are an 8 now but the heels still aren’t right (lower bubble). An option to make them wearable but still they are a little off (maybe over stretched).

just46jen @leelee329 Not a perfect fix so I wouldn’t intentionally buy an expensive $$$ shrunk pair but this is a salvageable option.

deedeesgrl70 @just46jen mine look exactly like the black ones above, with that bubble by the heel, that’s a great idea though, the stretcher! I’m going to try that, I bought the Camo loafer, I think my seller was selling for a friend so she didn’t know that they had shrunk, I have the black slip on gym shoe and it’s one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever owned- I love my Camo ones, I’ve just heard diff things from diff people❤️

vicandavid Also be aware of buyers asking full price for a pair that is shrunk, I recently asked a sizing question here on Poshmark, asking $140, seller has deleted all others people questions about sizing/possible shrunk pair and then she replies making it look like we are trolling or making offensive comments. I was shocked that a seller could do this and reported.

just46jen @vicandavid Yes, absolutely. My intent for this listing is for Buyers to be Aware of dishonest Sellers. Of course some people reselling aren’t aware that these shoes shrink and don’t purposely hide this. They are so expensive and have such a high resell value it is important to know what to look for before spending so much. ❤️

just46jen @empressmj I would google it. It has been a while but I believe some women saying that their washers cold sometimes isn’t “very” cold so they add ice. Just make sure you check your water temp before putting them in. Also, don’t leave in sun to dry or by a heater.

cestgg @empressxtina3 I mostly hand wash them, but when I do wash them in the washer, I place them in a lingerie bag, cold water, delicate cycle, and air dry upside-down either inside or in the shade on one of those sweater stacks (google it). They've held up through trips, foreign and domestic,and all-day walking tours.Hope that helps!

nancyfry I wish I’d seen this sooner - I just bought a pair of very small Rothys that had obviously shrunk. Poshmark denied my request for a return because they said that an item not ”fitting properly”is not grounds for a return. I have 3 other pairs of Rothys of the exact same size and they fit fine. They also said that buyers should ask sellers “detailed questions” before buying.

nancyfry Does Poshmark really think that if a seller would be honest about trying to unload a pair of Rothys that shrunk? The seller also asked me to open a case when I asked for the return, which I did. Now I find out that because I opened a case, I can’t rate her. I am disgusted with Poshmark right now.

bethrob11 Thank you! I too bought a pair of that are too small. They look exactly as the pictures you posted. I followed someone’s advice and took the soles out. I will wear them like this until I can stretch with boiling water. Great post!
