Amazing handsewn wedding gown. 💗Very Kate Middleton! 🤩 Made in 1978 by my grandma. Sleeves are authentic French lace - cost $20/yd in ‘78!! Body of gown is made of ivory sateen, “Windsong” was the name of the fabric. In its original iteration the collar was higher - see third photo. My sister had the collar turned under for a more modern take by a very clever dressmaker who did it without cutting the dress! Tiny tulle ruffles sewn to the underside of the train to give it body. Fits a 4-6. 💕

evie5ster Update: My mom found the original sewing pattern, plus scraps of material from the dress. 🤗 If you are interested but nervous about purchasing, I can create a listing for a sampler pkg of material. That way you can look at the color and texture and see if it’s something you’d like to wear.
