That is such an awesome gift! Your listing says “milk worm seeds” but I think you might mean “milkweed seeds?” Is that right?

@vonnasthreadz thanks love! Each of the seas is in a big fuzzy for bundle, so you can literally release them from your hands and they float. Fun way to spread them....🦋

@chantyes And when the seeds are gone, and the pods are empty, you can use those for ornaments. It's a great kids' project. Spray paint them gold, then put little winter animals inside. Or airplants, or anything! We have these lining our driveway and in our meadow. The monarchs used to stop here on their migration south, and the trees would be filled with hundreds of them. Then one year, they stopped coming. Now only a few show up.

@chantyes Nancy, this is so kind of you to do this. They need our help.

@gogogirl209 Thank you! They are so fun to share because each seed is involved in a furry fluffy feathery bundle, so you can just blow them into the wind and let them find their new home. 🦋

@felindabullock Wow! Must’ve been amazing to be on their migration path. I always feel blessed when there’s even one hanging out🦋🌿🦋

As I’m scrolling through looking for more words of wisdom, I come upon this! I love butterflies! The Monarches come through the Last Vegas area! They are beautiful! I was reading up on milkweed. What type is this?
Nov 07Reply

piranhawench
Tropical Milkweed is non-native to Nevada & Carrie’s a parasite to the monarch butterflies! It can cause defects in their wings.
Nov 07Reply

piranhawench
“Since it doesn’t die back and can bloom late, the plant itself may also confuse Monarchs by signaling a breeding season when it’s time to migrate.” This quote is from birdwatchinghq.com “5 Types of Milkweed You Can Plant in Nevada (AND One to Avoid!)”

I never knew this! Don’t know if anyone does. Lol! I get INTO things I guess. I was interested in your milkweed plants to help the butterflies, but I want to be sure I get something compatible with my area & my yard. (I’ve read some milkweed doesn’t like other vegetation & some would do really well in my Sandy, Sunny, yard. Since we’re in a serious drought, I want drought resistant plants.
