desertsky64 I guess, for me, poshmark is not the ideal venue to sell my cards. I tried to offer you a deal on the Mickey mouse card to lower the shipping and it put in the negative 2.13. ha ha. I sell them on ebay and etsy but poshmark has those high shipping fees.

desertsky64 hi. my etsy store is greetingcardreview go on etsy and do a search for handmade greeting cards and see what you get what I have found is a ton of competition for way less money than I charge for my cards. but i would appreciate your support and vice versa. also i saw this fancy pop up card for cheap (on ebay) so my son did a picture search and found this person was buying them from china for half the price and reselling for double and still for like 5.50. can't compete.

I been on Etsy for like a couple years now as a buyer and recently just opened up my Etsy shop, first time as a seller. But, I recently had to close my store due to shipping prices being ridiculous. How do you sell in Etsy & actually make money? If you don’t mind me asking.

cherise99 @desertsky64 All my cards are handmade like these posted, and on Etsy I tried selling them for $4.50 So one card would cost: a total of: $4.50 + shipping price $0.49 + tax $0.38 = $5.37 for 1 single card I pay at least $2.74 for shipping label postage (would arrive in 2-6 days) with USPS first class mail cause I’m paying the postage label

cherise99 @desertsky64 But even after one sale, I still am not making anything. I was trying to set up my page so I could just mail my cards by mail with a single postage stamp which runs about a good $0.49 or so at Post office, but it seems on Etsy you have to select a carrier but even that is like ridiculous, I just don’t thing the buyer should pay for shipping and so I tried charging my customers the $0.49 but I still have to pay $2.74 which seems ridiculous when it comes to mail a greeting card.

I’m definitely gonna keep on Poshmark but, still trying to find another platform to sell my handmade greeting cards. Just looking for advice from a fellow Poshmark/Etsy seller. desertsky64 re-selling or I saw one lady on EBAY why was selling her cards for like 2.50 apiece who said she just loved making cards.... period! She can't be making a profit. So I am giving up the card making business. For me, I have to put my cards in a box to protect the quilling so shipping is too much. desertsky64 my other handmade items, I'm making quilled earrings and votive candle holders, is Facebook marketplace. So you sell to your local community and eliminates shipping. I think it's becoming more popular for that reason. I'm not one to meet with people but I think I will give it a try. My votive candle holders are proving to cost 10 dollars to ship. Also the local OFFER UP and other local online sales venues. I'm sorry I don't have better news about ETSY. I sold two pair of quilled earrings

heyheyitsgabe Hi! Someone else maybe kind of alluded to it earlier...but maybe you can see if any local small businesses have vendors & artisans selling products in their shop. I’m not sure exactly how that works, but maybe you can approach the owner and see if you can sell some products there. Or local farmers markets or bazaars. I know these aren’t online options, but maybe another thought!
