The butterfly is the "Weekenders" clothing and accessories brand logo.

@poshing_therapy so around 2000s right? X

@kstarfaerie Late 90s. This Weekenders design came out in the fall of 1998 to coordinate with the houndstooth print collection. Weekenders was a direct sales company that went bankrupt in July 2008. Up until November of 1999 I worked at CIBC. The district manager's wife was a Weekenders independent consultant. Every spring and fall we would have a Weekenders party. She would bring a whole new collection. Weekenders apparel was pretty much the staff uniform at my branch. *chuckle*

@poshing_therapy so interesting! 🧡
The more I learn about it, the more I see it popping up everywhere! There are a lot of upset people that they went under in 2008!

@kstarfaerie Oh yes! Many hold the opinion that there shouldn't have been any reason for bankruptcy as consultants were quite successful. The apparel wasn't at all difficult to sell as there was a high demand. Everyone loved the brand. The quality was excellent both in fabric and construction. Much of the styling was timeless. Easy to mix styles with other brands. All garments were machine wash and dry. Best of all, they were affordable which doesn't mean cheap though.

A buying customer could acquire a new wardrobe every season. It also wasn't difficult to recruit new consultants. That all said, many blamed the owners for poor asset management. 🙄 Sad.
