retro_world711 @kgrenhaw I generally say to size down 1/2 a size. If your daughter has wide feet, she may want to stick with her normal size. I have wide feet, and normally wear a 9. I stuck with a 9 which gives me enough room where I can wear winter socks. I should have more sizes coming in the next couple days, so if you’d like me to tag you when I get in other sizes, I will. Also, I can provide measurements for 7&8 if that would be helpful.😊

retro_world711 @reyna_yanez Hi! Ok, size 7 info, to the best of my measurements: Measured on sole, from top of toe to end of heel is exactly 11”. Width straight across bottom at ball of boot is 4”, at heel it’s 3”. Measured from top on outside, over widest part of foot, is 5.5” from one side to other. This is definitely most useful if u have a similar style shoe to compare to.

I think they do run a little long, but they are also a little stiff until you break them in. If you’ll b wearing thick socks, I would probably stick with the 7. But they definitely stretch out once you break them in and I have wide feet. Docs do generally run large, but I don’t find this style to run that way. Ideally I would suggest trying to find a pair in a local store to try on. Or I could also send you measurements. I have more size 8s en route... sorry that isn’t very helpful! 😆

I recommend wearing them around the house for the first day, but then they mold really well to your feet and are super comfortable. And so cute! retro_world711 @smithkate07 You are right- I do remember seeing Doc refer to there only being one size difference between men’s/women’s. I’m sorry, I forgot about that! I remember the days when Docs only sold one size - the UK sizing! But I’m still not positive which size you need... are you purchasing these for a man who normally wears a size 9 men’s? If so, then you’d go for a size 10 according to Doc size guide, or possibly an 11 if you feel he has wide feet.

retro_world711 @stephross16 Hi! Yes, it is pretty normal and they do stretch with wear. I always recommend to wear around the house several times to try and get the fit right. However, I would also say that I personally am a half size and I sized up for the same reason and am very happy with that decision. I felt like I had gotten a workout when putting on the smaller size😆! My feet do run wide, tho.

retro_world711 @kiralifgren This is a tough question...really because it depends on your feet- the width, your arch, etc. Generally speaking, yes, they are roomy length-wise and a little more roomy than standard width-wise. They are a little stiff when u first try on, but I recommend wearing inside with socks a couple times to break them in.

retro_world711 @kerra_cissne Hi! Yes, you probably would want to size down to a 7 unless you plan to wear a lot of heavy socks or possibly have wider feet. These are real leather, so for most people sizing down works well as they will stretch to fit the half size. I personally have a little wide feet, so I sized up and it’s worked well for me. I do have 8s in, but am temporarily out of 7s. I’m expecting a shipment- should arrive tomorrow- and can definitely tag u if you’re interested 😊💗

retro_world711 @chloek14_ That’s really tough. In general, the Doc website recommends downsizing for half sizes. That works well with the laced versions but a little trickier with this style. If you can’t find any locally to try on, I would suggest considering what type of socks you’ll be wearing with it and the width of your feet. They are a very nice leather that stretches well with wear, so most people would be fine downsizing...

retro_world711 @gem11875 Hi! Sorry for delay in replying... most people and the Doc website would say to size down. In most cases I agree. The exceptions would be if you have a wide width foot and plan to wear them with thick socks. They are a very soft, quality leather, so they do stretch well. If you size down, you’ll just want to break them in by wearing a few times with thick socks around the house first... hope that helps! 💗

But sometimes you just have to hold onto a sense of yourself. I love Converse too-especially the platform style, and Vans. But sometimes Converse rub on my outer toe- wide feet. But I feel like a nicely broken in pair of Docs have no equal! 💗💗💗

retro_world711 @boopboutique Will 10 be a tight fit or a looser fit for you! Yes, I think if you get one of those longer shoe horns, and don’t get too tight a fit, these will work well. I’ve gotten good at being able to put a new pair on while standing, but I do still use 1 hand… once they are broken in, you can slide right in. But I almost wonder if one of those grabbers with pinchers (I know, lame, right?), might be helpful in this case?

These are considered traditional women’s sizing, B width, which is standard. And yes, I always find they fit TTS. It can be a little tricky if you are between sizes as they don’t make half sizes, the Doc website generally recommends sizing down as they can stretch.

retro_world711 @taaschafer Hi! On the inside, where the UK/US sizing is listed, it states made in Vietnam. Docs do craft some styles in England, but they are usually $80-$100 more than the pairs you will normally find in American stores. For example, the Chelsea style runs $230. I believe the versions made in England use a traditional crafting with a different type of leather. I would assume that may be a superior leather because of the price, but I can’t really speak to it firsthand.

retro_world711 @abbykr Yes, these are TTS woman’s 8. The unisex styles are normally oversized, but these are specifically woman’s sizing, so you should stick with your normal size, Hope that helps ! Let me know if you have any more questions 😊💗

retro_world711 @mariaf_mp Hi! They run a tad big, but not much. If you have regular to narrow feet, you will probably be safe sizing down. If you have wide feet, you may want to go ahead up. The folks at Doc Martens would advise sizing down for half sizes. They are a very soft leather and do stretch. Hope that helps!

Ok, here are the measurements u requested, heel to toe: Size 8- Bottom of shoe: 11.25” Running along side of shoe, following curve, heel to toe, to be compared to other boots: 12.5” Size 9- Bottom of shoe: A touch over 11.5” Running along side of shoe, following curve, heel to toe, to be compared to other boots: 13” Let me know if you need any other measurements!

retro_world711 @stevewescott Hi! I know this is from forever ago, but I just saw it- so sorry!!! USL in this case is just meant to indicate US ladies sizing, as opposed to the EU or UK sizing, which use a different system. It also indicates, on this boot, that these are built in women’s sizing, not unisex, so they will normally be true to size. Unisex Docs are often sized bigger, so you may have to size down… hope this explained it! And sorry it was 10 months later!😄

retro_world711 @divachic042003 Hi! Generally, down, but I always like to consider a few more things bc everyone is different and these are not way oversized, as some sizes can be. So if you feel you have a wider foot or like to layer socks, especially thick ones, you may prefer to go up. I’m going to put these in a bundle so we can communicate privately about your particular size 💗
