I got scammed (not on Poshmark) and am hoping to save some people from the same fate. This is NOT what a Chanel scarf looks like. Please look at it carefully, the material is not silk twill heck I don't even think it's silk! The font on the logo is WRONG. It is not hand rolled. Before you buy a Chanel anything please do your homework. Price reflects that I don't want to sell it 😉 Now a note to the sellers on here, ffs get your items authenticated, it's worth it!

loulouscloset24@lilyinthetub it's illegal to sell replicas

Dec 04Reply

luvlux6Sellers should not claim authentic without proof. Authentication for designer brands should be mandatory.

Nov 04Reply

nicolekendall40@loulouscloset24 it is yet its happening all over Poshmark 😮‍💨

Nov 16Reply

valmokerThanks for the info; but how can you tell if it’s hand rolled?

Jan 03Reply

loulouscloset24@valmoker hi, the stitching would be different and it would be a little thicker for starters. check out the real ones on posh and you'll see the difference right away:)

Jan 03Reply

nomad_findsThe stitches look like machine stitches for sure. The fabric might be real silk, it costs only like $40 per meter. These things are easily faked.

cocorule13Thank u for sharing your story I also got scammed by buying fake Chanel shoes. There r so many dishonest people in this world that r only looking to get money for free, and to not work like everyone else in this world. I don’t know how they sleep at night, they just don’t care!!!!!

Jul 04Reply

cocorule13Poshmark should check if the items r authentic, once it’s more than 200 dollars. That way the buyer doesn’t get ripped off.

mickey0205Thank u for sharing. It’s so hard to tell if something is fake. We don’t get to see the items up close. It’s about trust. We should share names of people that sell fakes. I’ve reported many people on poshmark selling replicas sadly. Sorry this happened to u. Xox

neutoouThank you for the warning. I have had a Chanel Scarf for sale when I 1st started on Posh. I picked it up at a place I trust but in the end I just couldn’t bring myself to sell it. I had offers, I’m glad I didn’t take them. In the end I don’t know what I’ll do with it, I can’t prove it is real so I can’t really sell it. It is a dilemma. Thank you again for the warning.

sifters_closetHi! newbie here! Where do you get things authenticated? I have a Chanel scarf, I'm not sure if it's real or fake. I appreciate your insights. Thanks

Mar 20Reply

judyryan74FYI, if you sell your fake items on Poshmark the buyer can keep the item and get a refund for the money if it’s found to be fake. You will not get your item back. Poshmark is strict. Someone sold me a fake Dior scarf and they me to discard of it as it’s illegal to sell fake items

Apr 05Reply

judyryan74@cocorule13 yeah their 600$ mark is too high it should be $200 to weed out fakes. We pay 20% in fees and taxes on second hand items they need to do more

Apr 05Reply

marciah976@judyryan74 i had a fake Fendi and i had to send it back and supposedly they have a no replica policy and you will be banned but no she is still on here. So not right

Apr 24Reply

judyryan74@marciah976 interesting so many are selling fake product pretending it’s a gift and they don’t know but their whole page is fake stuff from china. Their account should be removed

Apr 24Reply

marciah976@judyryan74 agreed they should have people checking the listings and ban them! They can pay me $50 an hour to do it because I would be happy to …I get that not everybody’s gonna have their receipts as they are gifts but yes if it’s over $200 it should be legally authenticated. This site is very taken over by fake sellers. I just bought a pair of Chanel glasses and I don’t think they’re real and the seller accused me of tampering with them.

cgabelhouseHi 👋, YES!!! you need to look at the stitching at the ends if it looks like a machine did it and it looks flat , it's fake! real ones look like it's been rolled very, very slowly and delicately. Chanel has standards, so when they put their name on the corner its in their original font bold and beautiful. It will definitely not say " Paris" underneath. another thing is that it's going to be a bit thicker. Chanel is not cheap. Please 🙏 Please, don't get scammed on here .
