@visionarygrind I haven’t yet. I work with a lab and have them make my own “recipie” that tinkers to make the gems better/even more perfect and I’m just on my 3rd gem so far. I can grow Moissanite —mine get 9.5+ Moh scale now vs others at normal 9.25 & are so close to a diamond now that only the latest very pricey model of Moissanite tester will get it right, all others show it as a diamond now. I just finished my Sapphire & Ruby this past month and haven’t started on any others yet.

This one is not solid, it’s rhodium platinum/925 silver...my version of “white gold”.
The only solid I do (on my own choosing) is Platinum. All “white gold” is just rhodium plated over gold, so I just do platinum for the “white/silver” color.
I do solid gold for custom orders but generally on here most Poshers aren’t willing to pay the extra $300 for the solid gold so I don’t make any to just have on hand.

@lynnekrn I just recalled why I didn’t have the 7.25 set & listed. The gem doesn’t sit perfectly straight and has the slightest of a tilt to it. It’s only noticeable when at close eye level but still. I need to make more but it’ll take me probably a little over a month to start from new.

@doriene If you take a piece of string & mark the size that would be a good ring fit on you (fits over your knuckles too) & measure it in mm (millimeters) I can tell you your ring size. It can be hard to measure exact with string bcz soft/bendable but I can covert the measurement you tell me to a size.

@doriene I have 5.5, 6.5 & 6.75 made but I haven’t set the center gem yet as I wanted to redo the prongs. It only takes me 1 day but they don’t always go the way I want when reworking prongs that are already made. I will work on it & try if it’s the size you want but otherwise I would make a new one from scratch so the prongs come out flatter rather than round.

@doriene No, I’m not adding any more prongs, just reshaping them. When I started I was making a basic prong which is round like a small ball, now I make them flatter & claw shaped. They get caught a lot less.

@doriene Because it has sapphires in it you’ll want to take care that whatever you choose is safe for gemstones. An example of one you can use is Connoisseurs Dazzle Drops Silver Jewelry Cleansing Crème. It’ll clean and remove tarnish from silver and is safe to use on all gemstones. I think it’s $5-10 on Amazon. As long as the silver cleaner says safe for gemstones then you’ll be fine.

@gcm1956 There are 5 types of platinum and rhodium is the one all jewelers around the world use for plating of white gold or silver. It’s the standard.

@gcm1956 This one is solid sterling silver with rhodium plated over it. The only difference between this and “white gold” is it instead if using the 14k yellow gold under the platinum I use the silver to keep the cost down and keep the white color of silver under the platinum instead of the yellow gold.
