Glamorous 1940’s Satin Taffeta Lurex Full Length XS Hostess Gown

Glamorous, Hand Made 1940’s Full Length Hostess Gown Dressing Gown. Satin Taffeta with Bronze Metallic Lurex. Fun fact: Lurex was introduced in 1946. Nearly Full Front Zip closure (it is sewn in 4” up from hem). Talon zipper. Waist measures 14” across, Hips are free due to the voluminous fabric that flows from the fitted waist. 54” long. Hard to accurately measure the bust because the underarm area is a bit fuller cut (shown on my dress form with a 34” bust, but there’s room for up to 36”which is what I measure and it fits). Going by the waist measurement this gown will fit if you are a S/M and your waist size is not over 28”. PLEASE NOTE: The price is very reasonable for this rare, true vintage piece because I’m taking into account some dark-ish staining near the hem in front, on both sides of the zipper, and clearly disclosed in the last 2 photos. There is so much fabric in this piece that I feel it doesn’t detract from the beauty of it since it kind of gets lost. Price is firm — thanks for understanding. Even with the disclosed discoloration it’s still a fabulous deal!
