Unless purchasing from the original owner and asking personal questions, it is impossible for sellers to know the life that item has already had. Even new items have been purchased over and over and resold. If you have concerns, ask necessary questions before purchasing. Respect every purchase is secondhand, and manage your expectations. We have purchased thousands of items here, most waiting to be posted. Generally we ask about material, measurements and condition. Sometimes I forget so we’ve ended up donating hundreds of items that were not re-sellable due to condition or smell. I shoot from the hip with total honesty. However everybody makes mistakes. Orders are opened in our store, a newly built building with marble floors, solid pine ceilings/walls and isn’t open to the public, smokers or animals. Yet we still have no control over previous use.
