@lsmbal4 4 hi! Date codes are exactly that. It tells when the bag was made ☺️ so this was made the 23rd week of 2018 when you read the date code. (2138 the second and fourth number tell the year, the first and third indicate the week). SD is the factory code, which is USA OR France, and this one is USA with the additional tag inside that says that. So yes, authenticity is guaranteed ☺️

@lsmbal4 I wouldn’t think you would look a bag up by comparing date codes unless you’re making sure the style was made in the right year. They aren’t like the item codes in which they share a code, the date codes are there to show exactly when that particular bag was made, with the two letters indicating which factory/country that produced it
