Reposting because there’s more scams! Hi Lilly Lovers! I’m not normally one to make these posts, but felt it was necessary. There have been a lot of scammers on the Lilly Pulitzer brand explore page recently and I’ve been trying to comment on all posts saying it is a scam. I encourage you to please reshare or screenshot & repost this announcement to keep others from getting scammed. It’s not very nice what these people are doing and I hope we can all look out for each other as a community.

shannonbripple I have commented too and reported but they remain up. I heard many people received empty boxes or a box of a paper face mask. I’m going to start recording my received packages so I have evidence of what I receive going forward. I was told to immediately report to Poshmark within the first 3 days of receiving.

lakenhomesley I’ve always wondered what poshmark will do because about a month ago I had a package that said delivered on a certain day, and didn’t deliver till over a week later. When I reached out to their customer support team they told me if I didn’t receive the package on a certain date to email back, but I needed to prove I tried calling my local post office and asking my neighbors.

lakenhomesley After the date poshmark told me to wait till, there was still no package so I emailed and never heard a word back. Thankfully my package did arrive 3 days later, but from my experience, they don’t have the greatest customer support.

hls1199 @shannonbripple yeah, I’m just trying to educate buyers to know what to look for. If scammers want to waste time making all of these accounts then that’s their life to waste, but I hope buyers can watch out and not get their money stolen

hls1199 @lakenhomesley I haven’t experienced anything like that so I’m sorry to hear it! I am just trying to help others know the signs of a scam to prevent it from happening. It’s such a shame that buyers are being taken advantage of.

barbiove The problem I’ve seen with Posh is horrible customer support. There’s really no expedient way to report a scam or someone using your photos. Posh needs to verify the seller and their payment match and are legit.

barbiove I’ve also seen tons of fake LV recently. No one in their right mind is selling a new Louis bag under five hundred. Still, people buy and keep the scammers in business.
Apr 20Reply
shannonbripple
shannonbripple @barbiove in these cases the buyer is receiving empty packages. They are not even receiving what is being listed. Scammer is depending on the buyer to not report it to Poshmark and to be auto received

mlfarm7 @barbiove I totally agree. I have seen a lot of fake LV.:(

toosharp4us A little off topic but as a fairly new posher I had people ask me to email them answers to questions that were already clear either in the post or pictures, if I emailed them they tried to send me a so called cashiers check instead of going through posh, very pushy and always wanted to surprise their daughter etc. I only go through posh those checks are fraud and their profile has nothing for sale and is always recently created. I’m learning and maybe that will help someone else.

barbiove @shannonbripple I understand the scam. I returned a FB purchase because it was trashed not EUC. I returned it securely taped in the original box & was accused of sending an empty box. Pay refunded me as I have a good standing account that was set up in 2000.

shannonbripple
shannonbripple @barbiove that’s good. Hopefully these new scams are zapped soon!

barbiove @shannonbripple I have a room full of Lilly & LV that I’m reluctant to list because of the dishonesty. I sold a 3 Lilly tops bundle that were immaculate & buyer wanted a generous refund because she claimed a hole in the center front of one. She’d basically gotten one free with the bundle. I honestly believe she cut it opening the package.I refunded to get rid of her. Just too much hassle.

hls1199 @toosharp4us great point! I never ever even email those people. The comments are typed out weirdly (making me think it’s a computer typing). They could try to hack you through your email. Always keep everything in posh!

shannonbripple
shannonbripple @toosharp4us NEVER OPERATE OFF POSH. they will scam you so much easier off of here and it’s against Poshmark rules because of that.
Apr 20Reply
shannonbripple
shannonbripple @hls1199 you need to report them. Every time I call them out they delete their comment so fast. They are counting on people falling for it.

_shopmycloset_
_shopmycloset_ @toosharp4us They are phishing. I would definitely change your password. Especially and accounts you use your posh email and same password for. You can also report the email to the email host as a scam email.

pretty_in_lilly
pretty_in_lilly Can’t you just not release the payment and file a claim?
Apr 21Reply
hls1199
hls1199 @marley_garner as long as you do it within 3 days of receiving package. After 3 days, funds are automatically released to seller. That is what the scammers rely on

pretty_in_lilly
pretty_in_lilly @hls1199 I see! Thanks for letting me know. I always check my packages as soon as I receive them. Thanks for all of the info you posted. This stuff is so good to know.
Apr 21Reply
hls1199
hls1199 @marley_garner I also check them immediately. And hopefully with this info, more people can avoid purchasing from scammers in the first place! 😊

jtormey44
jtormey44 Thx for this! you can also find a scammer post with various sizes, recently active member, no sales or reviews and their first name is fictitious with a 0 or 1 in between their fictitious last name. I myself was just a victim of a scam this week. they sent me a package and inside was a paper face mask along with a thank you note. I put in a claim took pictures and posh canceled The order so I got my $ back. I plan on sending the scammer their face mask back with a nasty little note.
Apr 21Reply
shannonbripple
shannonbripple @jtormey44 they are using someone else’s address too! I saw this on a different post. Apparently once they have your address they can use it as the “sender”. It’s awful

jtormey44 @shannonbripple yikes I figured as much. And now they have my address .... 😩

klk1224
klk1224 @shannonbripple why wouldn’t some one report it? Every once in a while I’m out of town when a pkg comes (shipper mails later than expected/mail is slow) so I’m not here when it arrives, I still have my daughter open the pkg to make sure it’s what it’s supposed to be. Sometimes she doesn’t inspect well but it’s “ok” ❤️

shannonbripple
shannonbripple @klk1224 I was out of town once. The mail was delayed then delivered 3 days before I got home. It auto received ( I don’t have anyone at home) and the dress was NWT but stained. Lesson learned. I now do a mail hold. If the person doesn’t check the sender they may not think that is the item they bought and wait for it. Btw they cut the label or use a different one too so it’s difficult to figure out.

klk1224
klk1224 @shannonbripple man these people are sooo sneaky. I just had a person on a different platform where they went in and changed the address after (entered a track#, but not to my verified address) it shows my town but not my home when post office pulled up track, so it gave them 2 more days to try snd get their $ from Ppl.... luckily posh sends shiplabel and you can’t reroute it.
Apr 28Reply
shannonbripple
shannonbripple @klk1224 true but apparently if you buy from these people they use your address for future scams too. I don’t have this mindset so I don’t fully understand it.

laine94 Thanks for sharing. I ordered shorts 6/10/21; showed it shipped next day. On 7/10/21, submitted inquiry to Posh bc I never received the shipment,Says in transit on tracking. Posh replied immediately that they were updating their email system, had not forgotten about me, are working on it. Figured just a USPS problem. It’s 7/22/21,no shorts and haven’t heard back from my inquiry. I’m new to this site; appreciate any/all insights/help. Otherwise, pleased with all of my orders.

hls1199
hls1199 @laine94 so sorry that has happened to you! I hope you are able to get it sorted out and not lose the money. I’m by no means a posh expert, but I’ve picked up a few things. Hang in there! :)

deals_by_di
deals_by_di @laine94 “never assume “is a good policy to take n any platform. Posh will auto send money after showing received . Posh also will verify any purchase over $500.00 . So keep that in mind if something to good to be true is listed at $ 499.99. Best yet you can block any shopper to your PM account . I actually block any scamming person that asked me to send to any email or phone # . You click on their pm name and address and go I believe go to the upper right . And hit block .

beach1178 ❤❤ I was bait and switched by a seller who sold me a Girls size 8 instead of what I thought I was buying a Womans size 8?? 2 hours later I noticed the error and I tried to STOP the sale BUT... she had already sent them out!?! I strictly asked for Womans size 8 in my filters. this could also be a slip-in by Poshmark. i am so mad I could spit! whoever would buy a girls dress for $140!!!

cmoore9564 I just bought a pair of earrings nwt and I got them without tags. Same earrings are being sold again nwt. I think they keep the tag and put earrings on it after they sell a pair. No Lilly logo on the tags and didn’t show the back side of the earring holder tag. I should have known better. The seller did not offer a response when I voiced my concern.
