They run true to size. A 42 is an 10. I live Isabel Marant and have a lot of her pant. I’m a 6 and I we a size 38. I love these pants but is you are able 8 they’ll be too big unless you want then to fit loosely. Just my experience. I wish they had these in a 38 or 40. They are attractive!! Julia
