I'm a Converse Nut, bought 50+ on Poshmark. Only 1 fake! Seller: didn't know? cheater? I hope the former. This info is for Converse buyers and honest Converse sellers: compare yours to pics of known real ones--look for partial, uneven, thread-ends-showing stitching; blobby sole patterns; removable insoles (not Converse!), crooked line around sole. If they're in hand, test weight (my fake pair is very light) & fabric thickness (my fake thin, bendy...). mykolhamilton @nicholemedow Me too! It just irked me to get what seemed to be a fake pair, so I watched a bunch of videos to confirm or disconfirm. Fake as heck! So I wrote up that little diatribe and took photos. Why are Converse so great, though? I've adored them forever, but I only got into buying a bunch during Covid lockdown time. I embarrassingly now have 39 pairs. Ridiculous. But so fun.

skybunnisophi Wow… almost none of the inside tags on any of the shoes on posh say converse. They all just say made in Indonesia or China or wherever… does the white tag inside have to say converse or is it the stitching and the type of material that it’s written on that makes a difference?

shawnofthedead well not to brag but i beat everyone with over 100 pairs! mostly cons and vans with a spattering of Ryka. women's shoes made by women. VERY comfy. i could say fetish or obsessive but the reality is Covid. yep too much time on my hands. how could i afford this? sale oriented. i put a limit on how much i wud spend. between $20 - $25 with only a couple pair over that limit. yep some great deals available. i use Poshmark primarily. the good news? starting to sell some. wish i could post a pic.

neanthebean thanks for the heads up. finding it frustrating when sellers make a slight note their listing is a knock off or look alike, yet still use the converse brand link. they are filling a spot under converse where us actual converse sellers could be. unfair.
