Be careful! Scams out there and posh does not protect sellers like they claim to at times, start videotaping valuable items you sell. 🙏🏼💖💫

Package was marked “lost” by usps (i claimed a search 4x) and poshmark still gives me the same automated email :( any advice on what I can do? Thank you all again! 💜

@kacy030 probably call your credit card company and file a claim. because that's alot of money to loose. I've filed a few claims and got my money back but not sure with your small credit union.
try it

What a bummer! Sorry to hear this.

@leucadiagypset after research i read lots of shady reviews about Poshmark, so now many people are videotaping their packages for proof ha! 🤦🏼♀️ just wanted to share so this doesn’t happen to anyone else

@kacy030 Yay! So glad it was resolved. If you don’t mind me asking, did they refund you or was the ring found?
Jul 28Reply

kacy030
@jephoto thanks! Finally! No it was marked “Lost” :( so they refunded me at least. Floating around somewhere or someone else took it, ugh I’d rather it floating around then someone stealing it or something you know? Ahh now i am videotaping every sale lol, def do the same, you never know with usps these days!:(

@gyspymama84 poshmark has a one star review on a business review site

@kacy030 can I ask you how a videotape helps in a case like this? Did Poshmark ask for proof of packaging in order to give you a refund? Also, do you know if Poshmark includes insurance on packages worth over a certain dollar amount? It sounds like USPS was at fault here for losing your package. But I don’t think that means you should leave Poshmark because of a USPS mistake. Hope you can reconsider staying on here, especially since they resolved the case in your favor 🙂

@lisoro for example, if a package gets lost right? It may be in transit and delayed for weeks, mine was for almost 5 weeks and they cancelled the order not the buyer. They told me since i did not go through a clerk at the post office that they will not refund me. I can only use ssk for mailing in my post office in brooklyn, it’s a fairly new thing for prepaid packages, or the label has to be printed same day as sold.
Jul 28Reply

kacy030
@lisoro and poshmark said if it is not marked lost then they cannot help me. No insurance.. you just send an item to their facility. Also, videotaping a package being put in the drop off is proof you dropped it off. For them ssk is not proof. I have read scams where buyers say their package came empty, and the sellers have 5 star rating 100plus love notes and posh still votes in buyers favor
Jul 28Reply

kacy030
@lisoro it took me filing a complaint with the BBB, numerous calls to the post office in newark by their facility, and probably around 50 emails for them to resolve this. So sometimes it’s not worth the hassle and stress. I may stay on if the videotaping helps (many poshers do this now) type in poshmark scam and all sorts of posts pop up. 😞
Jul 28Reply

kacy030
No they didn’t ask for proof, but if i had it i am sure it would be resolved faster

stylestarlet
oh no,thats horrible!! once the item starts tracking I think they are supposed to cover you as well???
Jul 28Reply

kacy030
@stylestarlet that’s what i thought too!!

@kacy030 I always send at post office and I get a receipt with weight and I have always photographed and video taped at shipping. I am so sorry to hear this happened it makes me lose faith in some people!!
Aug 11Reply

kacy030
@dniko yes! :( sad but true, i am starting to videotape as well
Aug 11Reply

kacy030
Any items I sell 100 and over i will videotape 😉. I sent out 4 the other day (much lower than 100) and the lady at the post office said I wasn’t allowed to film… anyone else have that experience? Is it a law? I think not…
Aug 29Reply

jephoto
@kacy030 Out of curiosity, did the ring ever turn up?
Oct 13Reply

kacy030
@jephoto hi! Hope you’re well:) Nope!! Crazy no??? ☹️Someone probably stole it, or it’s still in a post office somewhere w lost mail
Oct 13Reply

kacy030
@jephoto crazy story! My friend sold a Chanel bag on another site for 2k right? This was in the beginning of August, she filed lost claims too, and guess what, she texted me today that it was delivered to the buyer yesterday! Almost 3 months! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
