No tarnish. But as stated may be gold on dots I’m not a professional jeweler. Sterling silver naturally oxides when exposed to the air over time. It’s called patina. John Hardy's Bracelets all have the chain part that go 'into' the clasp. The chain part in not soldered onto the clasp. This is a nice bracelet though.
