NHL - Stanley Cup Championship NJ Devils Game 4 of the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals was played at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey (home of the New Jersey Devils). • Date: June 24, 1995 • Result: New Jersey Devils 5, Detroit Red Wings 2 • Significance: This was the Cup-clinching game — the Devils completed the sweep. kylemurphy220 @907jen did some more research. Apparently they were thrown on the ice after the Devils won and a bunch of players and associates of the team picked a few up and that’s how I got one wish I was there.!
