💙 HOST PICK 💙Handmade couture kimono 2019

One of a kind handmade kimono by me from my closet. Emptying old inventory from my racks to make space in my studio. This kimono was made for a show in 2019. I am sad to see it go but I will need space for 2022 for my first MTO collection. This kimono is a labour of love and craftsmanship. Handmade by me, it took 35 hours from drafting the patterns to making the final sample. In the business of made-to-measure, the garment goes through a very personal journey, so there is a toile made, a fitting and corrections before the final garment is made. I have an old video on instagram for the toile if you want to go see it. I left some behind-the-seams pictures while this kimono was being made. It truly is one of a kind. Made-to-measure always comes with a hefty price tag, hence the 1700$, that’s for fabrics, lining, fusings, threads, patterns, corrections, toile and final sample. I will let it go for a sample price though. But no rush! I will be selling a few more pieces off this collection soon.
