Sterling Silver heart pendant with faux turquoise stones. Lovely filigree work on the frame. About an inch-1.5 in diameter. Long chain. Bought at a vintage jewelry store years ago. They confirmed 1940s origin. Not worn very often, same condition as when I bought it. scheherazade87 @disneygurl2u It's sterling silver, the expert I bought it from sold it as sterling silver with faux stones. If it is plate it's a well-done, thick plate because the filigree is deep. It is costume jewelry, but obviously done by an artist. It is not marked, but keep in mind before 1950 not everything was, especially if it wasn't by a known maker, & this is 1940s or earlier.

disneyandmore4u @scheherazade87 thank you for explaining. Early jewelry was marked “sterling” does this necklace have that mark anywhere? However I agree that older jewelry was not always marked. I ask as I have sensitive skin and prefer sterling silver.

scheherazade87 @disneygurl2u I mean the expert I bought it from is the best in my area, I trust her judgment. But no it has no markings whatsoever. But it's never tarnished in the ten years I've owned it. Hope that helps, understand if you'd rather pass.
