These hand crafted bone dice are period accurate for many different centuries. They are carved to match originals that I found on a dig, reflecting a traditional counterclockwise pip format. Historically, this style of dice have been found in archaeological expeditions exploring Egypt, Roman Settlements, Viking Settlements, Civil War, and in the Early American Colonies. Bone dice are a timeless artifact spanning many times and cultures. Ideal for betting, reenactments, and curiosity pieces. Each dice is hand carved and polished from authentic Buffalo Bone. No two dice are the same, as the natural bone grain and thickness determine the final appearance. Our crafters also offer a tea-stained version for a more antiqued look. There will be variations among the dice due to thicknesses of the bone lots.
