Priscilla of Boston was a well known and highly collectible maker of custom and retail formal gowns. The designer was responsible for the brides maids dress of Grace Kelly and the wedding dress of one of Richard Nixon’s daughters. Though the label primarily focused on formalwear, they did sometimes make daytime dresses from cotton, like this one. This light blue polished cotton sundress is a gorgeous example of their exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. I originally purchased it to wear as a Disney bound Cinderella dress for Disney dapper day, but sadly she’s a size too big for me. I don’t have the heart (or the technical skills) to resize her, so I’d like to see her go to a good home. Very flattering, well made, and in excellent condition, this dress works with or without a petty coat for a 1950s style of simple elegance.
