This beaded Juliet cap from the House of Bianchi Boston & NY looks similar to the veil worn by princess Grace in 1956. It is satin all around the cap with elegant beading and pearls applied. The front has multiple dangling bead teardrops. The veil is double tulle and is extremely long….about 99” (8.25’). It is between Chapel and Cathedral length. It is in good condition. The veil needs to be steamed. It is off-white in color. Really a gem of a vintage piece.

lovenarf@julieczerwin Super cool that you still have your great grandmother‘s dress! Would love to see the whole ensemble! My return address is on the box. But maybe you know how to send pictures through posh… I don’t know how to do that. But you must be able to do it because some guy sent me a picture in a suit that he bought from me. Just dropped it off at the post office, so it should go out by noon. Congratulations again.

lovenarf@julieczerwin Hmmm. Are you asking if one of the pieces of veil can come over the top crown and cover your face? Not sure it’s designed for that but I can check. Or, are you asking if it’s wide enough to come around your shoulders? I’d have to check on that too.

lovenarf@julieczerwin I added a picture at the end. The veil has multiple layers, but I can tell a layer was not meant to come over the crown top. Grace Kelly’s wedding veil was intentionally designed as a circular "drop veil" made from ultra-sheer silk illusion net to keep her face fully visible. If you google her veil, you can read the details of how it was designed to look like it looks in her picture.
