Prior to 2020 I used to be part of fashion events. One of my favorites was Trashion Fashion. You would make outfits out of materials. Some of the items on my page used to be in the fashion events.
Some of my packing of items for Poshmark were also part of the events. For example ribbon, tulle, gems, jewels, seashells or fabric.
It was a unique experience to be part of the designs. And it taught me more about art and how to repurpose items.

Wow! Girl you are talented!!! I used to have my own boutique way back when in Sacramento CA with my own designs. I always in Tampa wanted to participate in these but would always put it aside. Love the pleated dress. Thereโs a company in San Francisco that will pleat your fabrics into any kind of pleat you need. I use to use them a lot. Thanks for sharing!!!!

@cygnetstudio Awe thanks. Some pictures are from Pinterest. Designers made a few each year for me. But I learned alot by watching them.The CD dress was one designed for me and the blue skirt one I worked on.If you ever get to participate in one it's fun.

Very cool! I love the pics. I used to live in New Orleans and I have friends there who sell laundry lights and lamps and chandeliers made out of Mardi gras beads. They started out in 99 or 2000 and are still in business today. I was big into making costumes too and most of the items I used in my costumes were repurposed items. It was lots of fun. Thanks for the memories!

I used to fuse plastic bags together and made a crown out of that โฆ also sewed ornaments with the new material
Remember the capri sun coin purses? I made those and totes too
Was really into using unusual materials for making
