jynm Hi, excuse me, but would you know what version of the Captain's this is? I believe at least 3 years ago, the Women's boot was a welt joint/cement glued and lacking a steel shank in the boot. TBC updated the Women's boot line around 2 years ago to have a goodyearwelt and a shank which made it sturdier of a boot. Would you happen to know what version these are or know the production number on the inside of the the boot that indicates its production run? Sorry if it's a bigger ask!

jynm @taiy2256 I think it's the older non good-year welted version because I don't see the the stitching go through the bottom of the boot (if you turn your screen brightness up), so it might be before Thursday added the shank as well. I ended up buying a women's factory 2nd boot from Thursday and I can confirm that the newer boots have the stitching go through the sole (super comfortable boot btw). The Factory 2nds can be OOS for months though in my experience.

taiy2256 @jynm jw, what was “wrong” with the seconds you bought? I’m aware it’s supposed to be wear or damage that’s cosmetic but not structural, just curious how noticeable it was

jynm @taiy2256 For me, the leather was scuffed around the ankles but with the nature of the leather I thought that it looked fine. The stitching looked good to me, and I've been happy with it thus far, really comfortable and natural CXL looks great. That said, I've heard some with worse experiences, but you really oughta check when it arrives. I've seen online that if the boot has some functional issue with it, Thursday might help as long as you don't wear the boot outside (or don't admit to it).
