suztayorb could these be hematite (or onyx)? I haven't seen any black or Tahitian pearls in DY that measure this big? I believe the earring is authentic DY; I have several pair of earrings of this drop style. Just wonder about the main stone...do you think a couple more photos emphasizing the stone on a white or lighter background would clarify?
