TAGUIOLE Jean Dubost FRANCE Dubost Colas Pradel founded in 1920 by Mr Piétre DUBOST, a cutler's son and maker of the famous Laguiole knives. Production started in a small work- shop and grew thanks to the founder's son Mr. Jean Dubost, whose name signs the flatware and kitchen knives lines. The Laguiole knife has been crafted in our area for over 200 years. The bumble bee found on Laguiole ranges is an emblem of the area. The Laguiole started out as a folding pocket knife, its popularity rose in the late 20' century. A table knife was then developed, handmade by craftsmen whose skills have been passed from generation to genera- tion. The blade, made of high grade stainless steel, is stamped, ground and then polished withover 25 manual production stages.
