aimee_rh what is the carat weight of the stone?

fluhman @aimee_rh unfortunately I don’t have a carat weight for this one and don’t want to take the stone out of the setting to measure 😅. But the stone is 9mmx7mm and the ring weighs 2.2 grams total.

aimee_rh @fluhman I found a 9mm x 7mm emerald cut stone that was 2.5 carats. Do you think that's comparable?

fluhman @aimee_rh if it’s danburite, yes! Every stone has a different specific gravity (kind of like density?) so a two carat Diamond could be a different size than a two carat emerald if that makes sense? Carats are measured by multiplying the weight in grams by 5, so if you found a danburite that size, you could totally find out the carat weight! (Sorry if that was super confusing)
