In 2015 the run speed short was redesigned and replaced with the ‘speed up shorts’ the redesign was never the same. The back zipper on the run speed short had a functional toggle that was easy to pull open and close; the zipper on the speed up shorts was replaced with a plastic zipper currently on Lululemon’s speed up shorts; in my opinion as a runner the ‘speed up’ short lacks the comfort, look and sleek design of the original run speed shorts- which are greatly missed. The run speed short was one of lululemons most beloved original shorts that made lululemon so cool to wear.wear.
