As some of you already know, my husband passed away in 2020. I thought my weight loss was from taking care of him 24/7 for 2 years. My weight went from 115 down to 75. OCTOBER 2022-UPDATE As some of you already know, my weight loss was not from what I thought. After massive surgery & 2 months in the hospital, I came home the beginning of October 2022 with stage 4 terminal cancer. Insurance pays for the nurses, etc. But I have to pay so many other new expenses. And when I lost my husband I also lost his income. I want to thank the wonderful people I met here on Poshmark & a special few who have gone over & above to be so kind. God Bless you all. UPDATE DEC 2022: Yes, I'm still here. Docs predicted I'd be gone by September 2022, but apparently God isn't ready for me yet. Still no strength, down to 75 lbs. Thankful for every day & still no pain. MAY 2023 - Still here. Started Radiation for growing tumors. Can't cure, but hopefully will buy me more time. OCT 2023- Test show radiation didn't work. Still feel about the same and thanking God for no pain. JAN 2024. Brief hospital stay prior to Christmas. They told me I have about 2 months left. But they told me that I & 1/2 years ago. When God's ready for me, he'll let me know. Down to 69 lbs. MARCH 2024-Still here 1 month past my latest expiration date. One kidney stopped functioning, other is OK so far. Still no pain THANK GOD. Thank you all for all your prayers. God Bless you.

acomfycupoftea You have such a beautiful closet! Being a caretaker for a loved one is such a challenge, but also an honor. I've never personally taken care of a terminally ill loved one, but I've seen my grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles rise to the occasion in that role. It can be so lonely at times. It is such a hard transition going from child to child + caretaker, wife to wife + caretaker

acomfycupoftea I'm not trying to make presumptions or say that I know your personal story, but I have had a glimpse of the hardwork and heartwork that goes into it day in and day out. I just wanted to say thank you for the love and care you gave your husband ❤ Caretakers don't always receive the appreciation they deserve so I try to acknowledge that and thank caretakers that I meet 🥰

cyni10 So very sorry for the loss of your husband. I totally understand how much time and energy it took for you to take care of him. Bless your heart for giving him that love. We are currently taking care of my MIL, but we do have help a couple days a week right now. I think it will be increased as her dementia takes over more and more. luvevrytingfab I stumbled upon your closet. I read your story fully. Condolences. Also I hope and pray that you Cure! Although no cure, in Jesus name I pray he heads you fully. I had two Aunts pass month apart due to cancer. Keep praying and asking God to heal you fully.

faiefinds Last year we had to cancel beach trip due to my broken foot. It was a hard year, not being able to walk for 4 months! I am walking now and will see and touch the beach in near future! I’ve been praying for you💕 I will continue to do so💕

bloominganna Kay, I believe it's called a broken heart syndrome that leads down the path to disease of some sort. My husband died, August 2022, and since then I've had 5 heart attacks between Jan-May 2023. My latest chest scan in Nov. 2023 revealed a mass above my left lung (I'm a never smoker).
