Veil has an elastic band in the back (when I modeled the veil I just used bobby pins to hold in place. Elastic may not be necessary
Matching waist band ties around the waist, there are no belt loops.
True color would be an eggshell white. Its more white than it is cream, so off-white or eggshell white would be my closest guess to describing the color.

Whoever made this dress had amazing talent. Side seams of the skirt have inches of fabric to let out, even the waist seam has inches to let out incase hou have a longer waist. If there was ever a dress that allowed for sizing up, this would be the one. If you notice in the image where I show the dress inside out, the photo on the right shows 3 inches alone on one side seam panel. So if you wanted to let out both panels theres 5"+ to let out total. The seamstress of this dress was so thoughtful.

Sizing Notes:
Model is 5' 6" tall. In 3" heels I still needed to pick up the dress a tad so that I didn't walk on the hem. With flats you definitely need to pick up dress
Model is a standard size 4.
35" Bust/27" Waist/39" Hips
I was able to get the dress on pulling over the head and past shoulders with ease, with little to no tugging. When I inhale and puff my chest out I have about 43 1/2" total diameter and when I cave my chest in to put on a dress I have about a 42" diameter.

There are no major strain on seams that I can find. All matching Fabric Covered buttons present and accounted for. Original shoulder pads present and in good condition.
The inside of the dress has a more satin appeal and feel to it. Very very luxurious feeling for the 1940s. It's a very smart dress and a very sophisticated dress. Buyer will truly appreciate the quality and appeal of this dress.

Flaws:
*Some of the photos show a side by side of the stains with and without my highlighted circle. The point was to show how faint the stains are and without circling them they would be hardly noticeable. If you would like any of these photos sent in a message to you so you can zoom in a bit better I'm more than happy to correspond and send those.

flaws continued..
Standard Hem/Sleeve cuff coloration from wear. (Nothing noticable but if it looks a little dirty on the inside hem/hem its because it was used and although I don't see any noticeable dirt or markings at hem or cuff I just wanted to note the standard show of wear from original bride.
Two light brown stains. One is tiny and near Left Front Hem. Second is lighter tan and near Right Front center seam at about knee length. Picture shown of both stains.

flaws continued...
Four Sweat mark areas. One at both underarms, another near waist seam, and the other at both sides of the front bodice neckline. Darkest pit stain is at Right Underarm. The other sweat stains are faint and less/to almost unnoticeable. Picture shown of all sweat stains I can find. Honestly from the Front yoke down to the waist seam appears like its one big sweat mark. But I'm not confident. A simple wash would remove water marks and hopefully eliminate underarm sweat stains.

flaws continued..
Two tiny tiny pin holes on Front Right yoke. These tiny holes are shown next to the dime in the sweat marks photos.
One water spot at front hem of dress. I've circled around the rim of the water spot since that is the only place that you notice the water mark. Shown in photo. (water spot was made by me, I put a little bit of water in that area to make sure the rayon has the texture it should get when Cold Rayon gets wet. And it inf act did.)

flaws continued
One tiny very faint light tan stain at back skirt. Shown in photo
A patch of about 4 very very faint stains at front right hem of dress. Shown in photo.
Veil has two tiny holes at about Knee length location. Unnoticeable and highly unlikely to make the holes bigger as long as veil is handled with standard delicate care that you would give to any veil.
Veil cap has some black markings on right side of flowers.

Veil seems to have been attached to the cap with the inside of the seam facing out. The Veil gathers were basted onto the cap so that it could be easily removed and basted back on.
Veil edges are unfinished, but I wouldn't say that is a flaw. I would just say that is how the veil was meant to be.
(Every flaw in the dress can be removed with light washing. None of these appear to be deep permanent stains)
Dress has not been washed by myself.
The dress was lightly steamed for photoshoot.
