Amazing, adorable vintage skirt from the 1960s…1968, to be exact as the tag lists the year that it was made.
Navy blue with brightly colored daisies in primary colors. And it has pockets! Ric-rac ribbon detail around the bottom hem.
Just adorable and screams “summer”.
There is a union tag, a care tag, and a brand tag, but I cannot find a fabric content tag. Feels like cotton to me.
Size tag reads size 8, but this is VINTAGE SIZING. The modern size is more like a size 0/2 or XXS/XS. The Thick elastic waistband that barely stretches at all.
Overall great vintage condition. As you can see on the union tag, this dress dates back to 1968, so it does show signs of age and wear, mostly to the interior on the waistband. The waistband appears to have been altered, possibly more than once. (See photos.) Some loose threads. Colors are probably not as vibrant as they once were, but they are still pretty darn vibrant for how old this skirt is.
Put on this skirt, pack your vintage picnic basket, and head to the park!

@artclass1980 Hi there! Thank you for your interest. I will get these measurements to you later this evening as I am at work currently. Stay tuned. :)

@artclass1980 Measurements taken with skirt laying flat, approximate and in inches, double where applicable: Waist = 10 unstretched to approximately 11.5 inches stretched. (A very tight 12 inches across but this would be pushing it in my opinion, because you still need to get it over the hips and bum as there are not buttons or zippers.) Hips = 16-17 depending on where your natural waist and hips fall. Total length = 22.5 inches.

@artclass1980 This skirt is definitely for someone pretty tiny and petite. The waistband is thick with some stretch to the elastic, but not much. It has been altered and repaired it seems likely more than once on the waistband. It is possible that maybe the waistband could be replaced or altered again for a better fit but I am not certain about that as I have no sewing skills.

@artclass1980 Also, while taking measurements, I noticed that one pocket is more narrow than the other, probably done when it was altered or repaired, but both pockets are functional. And the fabric on the skirt is just fabulous with the ric-rac pattern/embellishment. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great evening. :)
