A size 10 resized. For reference, I am 5’9” 130 and wear a street clothes size 4-6. The hem/length was not altered. Originally, there was a high neckline of lace - which was not flattering and itchy. I had it lowered and off the neck. Super comfortable and light! Been stored in a protective bag and comes with extra lace.
Light gold floral appliqués glisten along the length of this gorgeous lace sheath dress, complete with illusion sweetheart neckline and plunging back. Finished with crystal button over zipper closure.

Hi. Your dress is beautiful. What size was this dress sized down to? I may be interested in it but I need to know if it will fit my measurements. I am a street size 4 and a bridal size 8 my height is 5’2 and I weigh 126 lbs. thanks.

@sherylsulliv347 that’s a great question. I’m 5’9” and weigh 130. I wear size 4 (sometimes 6 - depending on the brand), too. What measurements can I get you of the dress?

@tappntopaz Bust, waist, hips, please. Thank you.

@sherylsulliv347 this wasn’t the easiest to measure. These are all laying flat, or the best I could get: bust (there are sewn-in cups) is 15 and 3/4, waist is 13 and 1/4, hips is 17 and 1/2.

@sherylsulliv347 I added photos of how and where I took the measurements.

Is there room to let the dress out if needed? I am a 35 bust 29 waist and 37 hip

@sherylsulliv347 I’ll have to check that.
The back is completely open and I’ll remeasure with the tape following the actual cups - as you seen in the picture, I just laid it across. The should provide a more accurate measurement.

@sherylsulliv347 the bust following the cups is actually 16 and 3/4. How the dress was taken in was in the back. Originally it was super low - which I loved and I lost some of that drama when they took it in. So, I’d imagine to alter it, the back would be lowered to give you more room. Does that make sense?

Hi, can you clarify what alterations you had done? Thank you
Aug 20Reply

tappntopaz
@sabrinacat83 I had the neckline lowered. You can see it’s higher in the mirrored photo where the model is wearing it and two photos down is what it’s been altered too. Then, the bodice/waist was taken in. No alteration to length.

Could this easily be altered back to fit a size 10?

tappntopaz
@notorious_srg I’m not a seamstress, so I’m not sure how these dresses are altered or how easy/difficult it would be.
