vintage 60s dress suit in tan tweed by Sue Brett - ILGWU - matching jacket

Incredible two piece dress suit set from the 1960s with a high neck sleeveless drop waist shift dress and a matching short sleeved Peter Pan collar jacket. The dress has a smooth beige bodice and a textured tan/khaki slub skirt trimmed at the drop waist with dark brown ribbon. The lightweight jacket is in matching tan slub with brown buttons and an olive green bow at center chest. The dress has faint stains on the underarms (shown in last pictures) and the snap fastening the left side of the bow needs mending (don’t believe it’s original anyway.) Otherwise this set is in really excellent vintage condition. Brand: A Sue Brett Junior Dress Union made in the USA with ILGWU label No fabric composition label remains but it is definitely natural fiber, perhaps a linen blend?
