Thanks for posting this. There are a lot of buyers on posh who can't tell the difference. A lot of the MJ snapshot camera bags on here are also fakes.

TY for posting this! It's like "deep fake" for luxe bags. To me if a fake costs under $100 and it clearly states it's "inspired" or "dupe" or something along those lines, then it's like ok, you were warned. But to pretend it's "authentic" does upset me. I mean some fakes look, dare I say better than the "real" items. I've seen some Chanel bags like this. I know the item is fake when it's like 70% less than marketplace value but some people are bold enough to post these items close to retail! :/

@vefbilsak Totally agree! I can never. No one likes the feeling of being tricked. Just be honest and I am sure some will buy it. I have a Bottega Veneta dupe I got for like $45 at JCPenny's but I wouldn't post it on here for even $250, would posh it for $25 tops. Anywhoo, It's great to have people like you point this out to help others. I always ask to see the lining and that usually filters some of the fakers out. ;)

@vefbilsak There's been a lot of fake Marc Jacobs dresses posted for sale in here recently. Marc Jacobs uses specific labels in his clothing. It's always consistent. But beyond that you can tell they're fake because they just look cheap. I've reported some but Poshmark never takes them down. They'll show up in my "Keep Poshmark in Tip Top Shape". I'm not sure if it takes a certain number of people to agree that something is fake before it's taken down.

Also be on the lookout for scammers listing "Marc NY by Andrew Marc" as "Marc Jacobs". They're 2 totally different designers. I messaged one lady and pointed out that it literally says Andrew Marc on the label clear as day. She wanted to get into a semantics argument about it reading "New York" on the label. Like a lot of designers are based out of New York. But if it doesn't says Jacobs anywhere on it then that's a clue it's not Marc Jacobs.

@dedrke5 fake canvas ones usually have silver zippers, no patch on the back with the Marc jacobs info, no marc jacobs patch on the inside pocket, no white tag inside and the hardware won’t say marc jacobs.
