4thandlola @lovelv187 that im not sure of. I do know ive seen a lot of social media type platforms that lets you auto creat fake members. My husband builds them so ive seen many templates that can do that function easily.

4thandlola @prime_style there's nothing wrong with the bots. The bots serve a purpose. however the bot programming isn't perfect. Thats how you get late 40 yo men named Trina as seen above. The bot increases your follower count and shares your items to other real closets. You dont have to talk to the bot for it to do that lol That programming is written into Poshmarks code. Get more items in front of more users.

4thandlola @prime_style It is somewhat interesting. I noticed a mass influx of faux members like Trina awhile ago all with Nov 22 creation start dates. They never reply, list or buy. They are members (i guess). They just aren't real.

ps_collective @4thandlola crazy. I've been with Poshmark since January 2019 and I've just never heard of it. Poshmark has just gotten so automated in the last year or so, even other poshers are complaining that their returns from their buyers are being automated by Poshmark. there's automated responses from Poshmark and then Poshmark is just automatically accepting these returns without hearing the seller out... it's just crazy🤔😔

4thandlola @prime_style agreed! These bots are possibly new to this caliber. The mass botting is insane and the accuracy of the account is just off ie 40-50ish male named Trina. Its a blatant bot. The returns is definitely a new one on me. But makes complete sense. Humans are expensive. We require continuous weekly pay and we call in sick.

4thandlola Automation doesn't do that. It just requires programmers to perform one-time coding and it handles it from there. The back and forth human arbitration and collaboration is expensive for Poshmark. Customer service representatives have to be paid hourly to handle frivolous returns. This can hurt Poshmarks bottom line when their modus operandi is to streamline cost. Looks like the new owners of Poshmark are really going all in on that one. Increase bottom line, decrease cost.

4thandlola Almost as if regarding returns their taking the Amazon approach. You don't speak to a rep for Amazon returns. You just return it. The seller eats the cost and associated fees. Its a dangerous model.

4thandlola @prime_style exactly! Amazon has a lot of haters lol so many people have run their small businesses into the ground due to Amazon returns. Small businesses cant handle it. Big businesses can. Poshmarks new owner really needs to rethink this platforms model and who its sellers are. We already have to handle the 20% fee. When was the last time you saw a Poshmark commercial or any advertising for that matter? Poshmark should tread carefully and put its sellers 1st like at the beginning.
